Subject: Advice on my planned "plan" : A race is an HIM Hi everyone! I need some advice please. I have been training very consistently all winter long. For the bike, I have been following Jorge's winter cycling plan. I am currently on week 7 of his plan. It's pretty rigorous and I have had some great improvement on the bike! In addition, I swim 2x's a week and run 3 x's a week, and strength train 1-2 x's a week. This will be the start of my 4th season of triathlon. My A race is July 9th, Muncie IM 70.3- which is 23.5 weeks away. This will be my second HIM. My question is- do stop the cycling part of Jorge's plan and stick strictly with my training plan which starts on 1/31/11 and starts with a much-lesser volume than what I've been doing? (Of note, I am reading Joel Friel's new book Your Best Triathlon and am using his teachings in my season this year ). Thanks!! |
