Subject: Note to self,,,,, Do NOT introduce a new exercise/training element into your regiment 3 days before a scheduled event.
I was at the local high school doing a little speed work on the track and noticed a rather attractive young woman running the steps. I thought to myself,,, "mmmm, that looks like a good work out",,,, (running the steps,,, . I proceeded over and ran steps for about 25 minutes and felt pretty good. (Attractive young woman left with without saying a word. )
The next day I got up and WOW, did my calves hurt. They still hurt. I stretch three times a day and they are not much better. I continue to run, bike, etc., but the pain is still there. Lesson learned.
