Subject: Timberman, NH who is racing?

I'm doing the Timberman Short Course next Saturday August 20th. I think TAGP is doing the 1/2 IM. Who else is doing the race?

Another Tri in the area the BTers are going to put BT on their left calf so we can recognize each other, anyone up for that? Or try to meet up after the race? I'm slow so I'll finish in the last 50 or 100.

We are going up Friday and will pick up packet and hope to do any easy ride of the bike course. We are staying in Concord not to close.

Kathy

I'm number 5859 and in wave 7 which I think is last. Wave 8 is 1/2 IM people.

Any idea where we could meet up afterwards?

I'll be three on Saturday (short course) racing and volunteering on Sunday for the long course.  I'll be staying w/ friends in Loudon, and heading to Friday night's packet pickup (but not staying for dinner).  If anyone wants to do an easy ride or run on Friday, I'm game.  I'm wave 6 on Saturday - how do you gals know your race numbers yet - do you have URL for that?

Thanks!

Katherine

I swam at Ellacoya last night - you guys are in for a treat, if you've never been there.  Clean, warm, shallow, clear water, mostly sand and NO EELS!  I am psyched for this race!!  I'm hoping this clear, cooler weather continues, too.  I run so much faster when it isn't so humid out!

Is it possible to swim in Ellacoya Saturday morning? Anyone doing a group swim or such? I do want to get in a nice, crisp run-through of everything saturday (light swim, bike, jog) for sunday. Where is the best place to go that allows swimming in the lake? So excited!!

I'm guessing you could go in for a swim sometime after 9 or 10, once all the sprint swimmers are done. I'm probably going for a quick swim when I'm there to rack my bike in the afternoon.

Jerry - Anytime after the sprint is done, I think they let you swim in the lake from the start/finish, so by early afternoon at the latest.  The buoys for Sunday will already be out.  I imagine many people will be doing just as you're doing - getting a feel for the course.

OK, I'm in for the 1/2 IM on Sunday. I got my way onto a relay team that was looking for a runner. They must be desperate if they want me running for them! But hey, I'm in...team #1640...the "Wicked Wenches".

Hey what can I say...they originally thought it was going to be an all-female team. OK stop laughing May...I know you're thinking I'll fit right in!

Oh My Friggin Lord!! LOL LOL   Wicked Wenches???

Ha ha ha ha...little do you know Max, I am trying to wear your ass down for Cranberry. I also hear there is a double century up to Wachusett next Friday...yeah...and they want more entrants  ha ha ha!!

That's great though! I'll see you there - Max will have the Red Sox balloon attached to his backpack on Sunday everyone! So I guess all the BT'ers can meet up before/after where the Red Sox balloon is  flying.

BTW Max...did I tell you latest forecast for Sunday is 43% chance of Thunderstorms? LOL

Me and my great ideas  I have a feeling I might have hell to pay sometime in the future.....

Do they have this in my size? I like the pink!

I noticed they had a big display at that bike gear tent at Lake Placid. I have yet to see anyone racing in a skirt...maybe at Timberman. And no, I'm not going to be the guinea pig!

I'll be around for the Sprint as well I suppose after my AM workout! I do want to check out the sprint and cheer people on for that race! Then probably want to take a dip before noon just to check out the course and such! I'll be dishing out the BT T-shirt! I hope I'm not alone with the BT shirt :-)
