Hey Max,
Glad to hear you got a spot...I was reading the threads over on the other forum (I'm la112960 over on timberman)...I don't suppose we can beg you to come up for support on Saturday...for us short timers!

Good luck on Sunday...you wench you!

It's possible Laura. I may take a ride up on my motorcycle, just to get out. If I do, I won't have my sign with me, but I'll look for your race number and maybe I can get some more pictures. Have a fun race!

So, I hear that the Slow Twitchers are asking the Race Director for a special place near the awards platform where they can "set up" and meet. Do we think BT'ers will have a stronger showing? Provided there'll be any food LEFT when I finish, I won't stay late after anyway....

I have to finish the race, clean up my transition, drive home 1.6 hrs, jump in the shower and leave by 7 to go fly Sunday night...I HAVE TO hurry my ass up on the course. Or call in sick (or dead!) Of course people like amiine will already have been fed and will probably be napping by then!

OH, and where did you guys find your bib #s? I don't see them on timberman.com or Lin-Mark.

I'm getting so excited I can't concentrate on work.  It's only Thursday.  This is bad.

I've got a Boston Red Sox balloon that I'll have attached to my backpack. I'm using it as a locator beacon for my 2 unknown relay team mates. I'll mostly just have it before the start of the race, though if I can find a place to leave it (attached to a fence maybe?) we can always meet at the balloon afterwards!

Revised race expectations: I see that now the forecast for Saturday morning is 65 F and raining (rain all day!).  Biking in rain - fun!  I don't mind swimming or running so much, but biking could be slippery.  I guess I shouldn't fret about what I cannot control.

As Mark said, "Good Luck to all of you!" I too hope to make this my 1st 1/2 next year.

Looking forward to the reports...
