mfilan - 2011-06-14 8:41 AM I can't stand that kid King...what a chump.  I do think that things can get pretty wierd and cool with the blood magic and Khal Drago, can't wait to see what happens next week.  Hoping he doesn't die since he is such a beast.

Kid king needs to die badly

Cersei Lannister needs to get slaped then die badly

Jaime Lannister needs to get stabed in the leg then die badly.

Totally agree!  This death really caught me off-guard, and I was surprised by how much it actually affected me.  I genuinely felt horrible.  Yep, I've totally been sucked in.  Just started reading the series now, too.

I am reading the first book, but trying to stay behind the HBO Storyline.  Read ahead for one episode, and found I enjoyed not knowing what was going to happen more than I enjoyed knowing.  Until Sunday's episode.  One thing I noticed early on was that this author isn't afraid to off anyone, so you can't be sure who will be around.  When Stark walked out, the music, the crowd, it was clear it wasn't going to end well, but I couldn't believe they'd get rid of him....

Looks like the Ladies Stark will be left to do the a&& kicking.

Will be hard after next wek, will probably go ahead and start book 2.

Wondering what gave the infection to the Khal Dothracki guy.  Was it the sword or was it the goat women dressing that she put on it?

Neither.  In the book, she cleaned his wound and dressed it.  He or his blood riders took off the dressing and put horse crap on it (their dressing), because they thought they couldn't trust her.  Their new dressing brought the infection - she was real clear in the book to keep her dressing on for 10 days and it'd be fine.

However, when something happens at the end of the book, and she says something, it makes me kinda wonder.  Gotta read the second book now.

Pulled the trigger and ordered the first 4 books as a boxed set off of Amazon. 23 bucks including shipping. Can't beat that for many hours of entertainment.

It was a great episode and end to the season.  Now i don't only want the little king to die, but i hope they show his head dripping blood and the wolves eating the insides of it while his entire family is force fed his body.  That is how much i despise that little weazel.

I loved the scene towards the end when Lady Starks is consoling her son.  You have this guy that has become the leader of the army of the north all covered iin armor being embrace and console by his mother, and you have to love the line when is screaming ill kill  them all and Lady Starsk says no, they have your sistes, we have to get them back and then we will kill them all.

Things got extremely interesting across the sea with Daenerys and the dragons.  Mind you, i havent read the books, so i didnt see that coming.

Shame that we have to wait so long for the next season

Spring of 2012 is a long time to wait for Season Two.

Ending with the fire and dragons was interesting.

Any show that ends with a hot naked chick and baby dragons is OK by me.  ;-)

in the book the dragons are nursing off Dany.  glad they took that out.  Awesome ending, yes Spring 2012 is a long way away.  Fortunately there are 3 more books and a 4th due out in about 3 weeks, with 2 of them being over 1000 pages.

I am bummed that we have to wait so long for another episode. Its tough to really get in to these good TV dramas b/c you spend half of your time hanging on. Waiting for more Dexter, more Walking Dead, and now more Game of Thrones

It actually looked to me like she could've been nursing one before she stood up. Baby dragon teeth gotta be be hard on the nips.  ;-)

Got around to actually watching it last night.  A little pissed that they didn't show the breaking of the siege @ Riverrun.  Seemed like a cool battle, was supposed to happen before the north left the kingdom (i.e. before Rob being named king of the north)

ok, finally got the book from the library.  Very good read.  Lots of stuff is filling in and making sense.

The book had the other/zombie in the castle black by the wall was one of the Rangers.  Didn't get that from the HBO series.   Also, HBO used Sansa a little differently than the book...Book makes her stupid/clueless.

Need to find the next book.
