Subject: Best Bike Fit in Atlanta??

Ok, I got the bike fit at my LBS (Augusta) when i bought my bike, but i think i need a TRI specific fit now.  I have a Cannondale CAAD 9-5 road bike I use for triathlons.  A tri bike is in my future, but probably a year away.  In the meantime, I need a good fit from someone who understands how to setup a road bike for a triathlete.  (I've done 3 sprints now, do i qualify to use the triathlete moniker now??)  Atlanta's got a lot of good bike shops.  Who's tops in fitting the triathlete?  Your opinions please and any supporting info would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Rick

I've had a great experience with Curtis Henry up at Cannon Cyclery.  He's knowledgeable and down to earth.  Very cool to work with.  Most importantly he's got me dialed in on my ride!

Here's his website:  http://cannoncyclery.com/

No conversation about bike fit in Atl would be complete without Matt Cole's name. He's set up literally thousands of riders. His new shop is called Podium Multisports in Briarcliff/LaVista(more or less) area.

Curtis fit me (multisport) to my Felt F75 roadbike. He did a good job and I'd recommend him again.

That being said, I would like to hear of others, since I'll be looking to get the fit thrown into my tri bike purchase year-end.

i am a huge person on fit. fit goes before bike purchase in my mind. i have had 6+ fits in the last 3-4 years.

matt cole is solid, no doubt. in athens, i would say there is no better than Micah at Ga Cycle Sport.

A new name for some is the new fitter/store manager at All3sports.com. I spent 4 hours with him, Gary Lucero, on Friday and came away totally impressed with his attention to detail, competence/intelligence, and ability to be flexible with weird proportioned bodies like mine. He used Retul. I would not hesitate to recommend him at all.

Disclosure: I am on all3 team and the fit was free, but i gladly would have paid for it.

My vote is for Matt Cole at Podium.  He fit my road bike and made it more "tri" like.  And then I ended up 6 months later buying a TT bike from him.

Honestly, knowing what I know now, I would not have wasted my time and money doing that to my road bike.  Just buy a tri bike.  It's so much more comfortable and faster.

I have to recommend both Curtis and Matt Russ at The Sport Factory (www.sportfactory.com). I have had fits from both and they are both good at what they do.

I went to Michel Lamar at Freeflite (http://freeflite.com/articles/fitting-service-pg98.htm) and have been extremely happy with the results.
