Run
Comments: Took off from the start down the damp grass towards the woods. Tried to keep it easy to avoid overdoing the first run. Transition 1
Comments: Good transition for me. Those that have read my race reports will know what I mean! What would you do differently?: Get to the race earlier so that we are closer to bike in and out. But I am happy with the transitions today. The good thing being nearer run in/out is that we had all kinds of room! Bike
Comments: Good improvement over a couple of years ago on this course. Just tried to stay in aero and keep the cadence up on the climbs. Transition 2
Comments: Still happy Run
Comments: Good run off the bike for me. What would you do differently?: Not used to jumping over logs and roots on my runs. Transition 3
Comments: Another good one! Bike
Comments: Same loop as the first one. Wondering what is up with Dud as he isn't back from first bike before I left on second. I figured he must have had mechanical problems. I leap frogged with the same guy most of this loop. Should have pushed a little harder but wanted to make sure I could run, Transition 4
Comments: Another good one! What would you do differently?: I know at these type of races I could probably do better, but usually my transitions are over 2 minutes so I just need to keep practicing! Run
Comments: Came out of transition with 4 or 5 people just ahead of me including the guy I did most of the last ride with. Tried to target them to keep my pace up. Caught all but one and finished strong. My previous time for this race was 2:05:xx so my goal of 1:50:00 was a lot but I knew I was better trained for this race. Getting close at 1:52:56 was ok by me. Still almost a 12 minute improvement. Post race
Warm down: Grabbed some water and found the rest room and hung around the bike entrance looking for Dud. Turns out he missed a turn on the first bike and added 7 additional miles. Yikes! Event comments: Yellow Jacket racing does a good job! Last updated: 2011-05-19 12:00 AM

Loaded up the bikes and the rest of the gear. Always a little worrisome the first multisport race of the season. Wonder what I forgot! Which usually means I bring way more than I need.
Picked up Dud and off to the races!
Ran around the parking lot after setting up transition.
Saw Jackie (jackjack)with some of the athletes she is training. It has been a while so it was good to see her, although briefly!
