Could there be an added section in the training log for tracking weight lifting?

we were gonna do that but was getting complicated for the initial release (plus more $)

the big ? is, how to set it up?  we can make it simple or complicated.  give me your thoughts - get as detailed as u like.

my ideas r to track the exercise (user inputed or default), #reps/set, weight/set, how many reps/set did u get on your own, ....their could be LOTS of inputs, lots of data = lots of $'s...can we simplify this but be upgradable?

FOR NOW, i just type in what i did in the 'comments' section.

let me know what u think.

I don't know if it is a setting, and in the long run shouldn't matter that much, but when I entered fractions of a mile the log rounded the number off (for example rounded 2.8 up to 3 miles).

I think the log was an excellent idea and something that I have been working on developing for myself on paper. I hope you can afford to keep up this service for free, but even if you can't I believe some people would be willing to pay something for it.

Thanks for all your work.

Thanks for the nice log! A thought would be to allow general comments to be shown in calendar or add another field for this. This would allow you to display events or milestones. For example, I put my half marathon in for Nov 30th, but it doesn't display in the calendar.

general comments won't be in 'calendar view' - it would be too much. BUT instead i am working on a totally killer idea that will take care of your suggestion and then some.  maybe u would like to test the new software...may be done in a week or so.  u will be absolutely amazed and awed.

At least you are a long way's away! I live an hour away and have annual passes! It is fun though, but wanted to get some credit for the endless walking :-)

I did the move 3 years ago and can feel that pain!

If you do move here, training outside is available almost all year. Maybe a few weeks a year very cold, but you will have to get used to the heat in the summer.

Well, we have Bass fishing all over the state in FL. It does take a little while to get used to the humidity. I always tell people not to move here in July or Aug, give yourself time to adjust before then :-)

Ron,
ANother thought I had is for allowing to switch to week beginning Sunday or Monday. I switch long runs between Sat and Sun sometimes and it can make week totals either very high or low :-) I'm looking forward to the new release.

Hello Ron,

The logging is a great feature of this site, I love it.

It is not really a sport but can you add "Aerobics" to the list. I do a step class a couple time a week for some cardio cross trainning and would enjoy tracking the time. I also rock climb a little. Thanks!

Some weight training exercises to add are:

back: lat pulldowns
Biceps: db hammer curls, cable rope hammer curls
legs: leg presses

Another thing has to do with the inspire me. I noticed one added to my blog (by you) by accident. Maybe some way to make it obvious one is there (bright color ???) and an email notification for person owning blog and those who have responded. This way if I put a comment on someone elses, I wouldn't have to keep checking their log to see if they responded.

Ron,
Excellent site, thanks.
I love the logs. It's very inspiring to see what others are doing.
I'd like a spot to input some goals. Maybe space for 2-3 long term goals and a couple of short term goals. If these showed up at the top of my log in all views it would really keep the target in view.
Anyway, thanks again.
