Swim
Comments: 31 mins - haha. Should have been more like 21-22 but the waves, chop and current were nuts!!! It was really tough to see the buoys and do any sighting without stopping and checking. For the first lap, there was a paddler up ahead that I could follow but not for the second. The water was really choppy so it was tough to get in a rhythm at all. As soon as I put my foot down to stand up, both my calves locked up solid!! That has never happened before! I wonder if it's because I didn't go for an easy run before hand? What would you do differently?: I dunno, try to go a bit straighter but it was pretty crazy out there. Transition 1
Comments: T1 time is included with the bike split but based on difference between that and my computer time, it was about 1 min. What would you do differently?: Get the wetsuit off quicker. Bike
Comments: I was pretty happy with how this turned out. Power was a bit lower than target (212w) but I'm ok with how it came out. I was in 5th place coming off the bike. What would you do differently?: Finish all the honey stingers and get a bit more water into me. Transition 2
Comments: Time is included in the run time but everything went very smoothly. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Another mediocre run. Started out good but started to fade after 3k. Just no zip in the legs. What would you do differently?: Run a bit more in the week before the race. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: The swim! I was hoping for a 2:20 overall time and given that the swim was about 10 mins long, I'd say I was pretty close to that for the rest of the race. Last updated: 2011-08-07 12:00 AM

Got to the site with lots of time to spare. Tab and I picked our spots on the racks and setup our gear. Waited in line to get registered and body marked. Nothing too exciting.
Went for about a 10 min ride on the bike. I usually go for a run as well but for some reason that didn't happen on this morning - I think that may have come back to hurt me later.
