Ah the joys of being an aunt or an uncle! I remember when my oldest brothers daughter was born way back when. They didn't have ultrasound in those days so I was on pins and needles until the last minute not knowing whether the child was was going to be a girl or a boy and whether I would be an aunt or an uncle.

Dana,

Huge congrats!  This is the first time I saw this thread.  Sounds like a wild ride for the first few weeks, but I'm glad he's doing well.  Don't forget to attach the bottle cage to his Big Wheel (make sure it's a disc!).

Oh it is SOOOO darn hard sometimes - Life, that is! I feel for you and your family - especially the new mom and dad! I already sent a little prayer for everyone (I'm not terribly religious, but I figure praying can't do any harm to anyone - and might even help!!).

Take care, Sue Ellen

Jen--

Just spent the weekend with him. Exceptionally cute. Sort of a mixture between a furnace and a posable doll and a whoopie cushion (let's just say, he's making a lot of noise!).

Now I must confess, that I am having paranoia about him. He's pretty placid and his responses seem a bit sluggish to me, so I'm all worked up about the fact that he's been irrepairably harmed by his oxygen tent experience. I haven't said anything to the family, because I'm well aware that it would not be helpful, and... that I tend toward paranoia!!

But that's why I'm venting here....

Lovely baby though, and well-loved baby too!

Dana
