Did you all know that C Tree was one of the original users of first training logs here?  Back then, I had to manually create each one in Frontpage-no reports or totals...I gave up around the 16th log and had somebody program...I remember manually migrating all of his data to this log...Sept 29th, 2003...those were the days...

I think Chris is the oldest active user.  Last time I looked the people with lower account numbers hadn't logged on in a couple of years.

Hey BT,

As a personal note, I'm approaching two years on this forum.  I signed up on 1/28/2004 as member number 1149.  Interestingly, two other active users signed up the same day PGoldberger and Isis54.  It must have been a good day for triathlons because very few signup days from that era have even one current user.

Two other regulars, RedCorvette and TigerPhil signed up on 1/30/2004.  And my favorite international participant, Sanjana from Zagreb, joined on 2/2/2004.

This BT forum has been a good thing, Ron.  And the logs are the best anywhere.  Thanks a lot.

Anyone want to know what BT looked like on June 13, 2003? This was long before I started training. Heck I didn't quite smoking until 2 weeks later on June 28.

Check out the training logs and the 'Testimonial' from CTree on the front page. And Ron's first race report. I found out that we have something in common: we both went home and mowed the lawn after our first tri.

There's one sentence on the archived site that stands out, a quote from Ron's 'About Me' article:

My goal for this website is to make a difference in at least peoples lives, to make people feel better about themselves, to feel more confident.

Wow...the old BT was so beautifully clunky...kinda like the Atari 2600 of web forums.

We've come a long way...

I could have sworn I started here 3 years ago, but I'll complete my second year on Feb. 26. Where does one find one's "member number?"

Just put your cursor on your user name and read the URL that appears in the border under your browser windw. Your "member number"  is 1499, and you registered 2/26/04
