Pool session this morning - 40 mins using my new swim club drills and swim plan:

warm-up
6 x 50m f/s on 1'30"
2 x 75m kick/drill/swim
4 x 25m f/s on 45"
warm down

Not a blistering start to the week but I felt really tired throughout the session

Damon, very good work for the start of the week-- myself on the otherhand had a hard time rolling out of bed a 4a, and in the pool could barley do 400yds, I just didn't have it in me, ran a hill workout (6-9%- repeats) and did some core and upperbody work yesterday, probably should of skipped the upperbody work.

The weather is wet and wild here in Bath Me. hopefully it will clear in the afternoon,I will try put in some miles on my bike afterwork -

Joe

Leaving now for the YMCA. Pool practice this morning. Plan on 1800 yards, just nice and easy to practice my stroke, roll and kick.

PM Bike ride planned with the bike club if the weather holds.

Had a great time at my first race yesterday (race report posted). Going to spend today loosening up and replanning for the next event. Feels great to be a triathlete! :-) :-)

Run 5 miles tonight.

Took an unplanned rest day yesterday, so feeling really fresh to start the week. (I did get in a hike with my kids, which was probably better than the ride I had planned anyway.)

unplanned morning off from the pool. Did a swim workout that must have really worked my right shoulder/rotator cuff b/c it is still sore.
Planning to do either 2 hours on the bike tonight or an hour on the bike and 30 minute run. We'll see how I feel after a day of work.

I'm not feeling like I'm bursting with energy today, even though last week was a recovery week and I barely did anything this weekend.

I had to go shopping on Saturday since none of my work clothes fit me. 5 hours of walking around in flip flops killed my legs. I'm counting that as a walking workout, darnit. Then yesterday, I had to help hubby install a commercial kitchen vent hood. That was my strength workout as far as I'm concerned. Trying to hold up a heavy vent hood overhead while hubby attaches it and sliding around on a greasy floor is more difficult than you think. At least I got to take a nap.

Okay, it's back at it this week. Today at lunch I'm going running, either on a trail with the running group at work, or on my own on a treadmill.

Good idea Whit, I'm using the same logic. Yesterday after my race, I vacuumed the house, washed the kitchen and bathroom floors, washed the car and my motorcycle and bicycle...whew! I' counting all that in my aerobic workout for what it's worth!

Today it's off to the club for weights, then to the pool for some laps.

Today is a much needed recovery day after my race yesterday. Even though it was du not a tri, it was hard. I pushed, and now I'm paying for it. My legs are sore for the 1st time since beginning my training. Probably due to almost sub-7 minute miles on the first 2 miles, then 7:20 miles the last 3. My running is fastly becoming my best event.

Way off my run routine. Will run (actually do run w/walk breaks to ease myself back in) for 60 minutes after work.

Then I'll put in a 60 minute spin on the bike trainer--small chain work this evening.

swam AM 2000 yds in 400's ( 8x50, 4x100, 2x200, 1x400). One of my favorite swim workouts (all freestyle). My right knee was a little sore from biking yesterday, but it worked out during the swim so hopefully it will be ok for a 3 mi run after work! Congrats to everyone who raced this weekend!

Dana,

Well, the LSD day was good. But I suspect, being from Berkely, that you might know more about that than I do!!

Ahh...LSD day here too but on the road running, not in the pool like you Flyboy! Ran for 60 minutes and kept the pace slow by watching my HR. Was a gorgeous day for a run!

1250 in the pool, concentrating on form. 45 minutes weights, upper body day. Short run later, if it doesn't rain.
