Pre-race routine:

Whole wheat muffin with butter and peanut butter, 16oz of water. Pack clothes. Help get Willie a shower. Drove to race early. Met Karen.

Event warmup:

Light jogging and stretching of calves.

Comments:

Run was a godd one small 50 people or so. Good starter race for an older runner. Met some good people. 5 runners were thier first race. Not many novices besides them. Karen did great with a 34:30.

What would you do differently?:

Drink more the night before. Drink just before race some. Start up further in pack. Pray for better weather.

Post race

Warm down:

Walking and jock strapping for Karen. Drinking a lot of water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Ability to run down hill. I could over take other runners going up hill only be paced going down hill.

Event comments:

Just a few rewards given for runners. Good little race but, will skip it next year for bigger race. Nice start to the running season.
