4/12 (or 14?) completed on Tuesday and I have another planned for tonight.

There was a big meeting at work yesterday stating that they are restructuring our program and that everyone that works for it will have an individual meeting with their site manager today to see if they fit in the company's vision... Here I thought that my job was safe because I'm in health care!

For heaven's sake. If you aren't safe, none of us are.

I hope your meeting goes well.

Another 7 miles added to Team Crowie, We are now up above 30% and closing the gap on Team Macca.  Keep up the good work!

I have the Dirt Dawg 8 miler this weekend, should be an interesting race with the snow we are supposed to get.

Added a 5.5 miler run by flashlight , was fun to run a new bike paths and streets. Got lost in a dead end neighborhood which is all walled up. Jumped over it to get back on track.

So the meetings yesterday shook up the whole department. There are about 30 of us in total and there are at least 6 that got laid off. I have 3 weeks notice... I have actively started looking for other opportunities though and am feeling inspired by the possibilities!

Last night after work I got an excellent workout in. 30 min cycle, 25 min run, 25 min swim!

I'm definitely not crafty, but I'll give it a try.

13 km in this morning. Not a speed record at a few seconds under 1h20m but felt pretty good. Nearly 1/2 way to my goal for the month. Go team Macca! Actually, have a great weekend to all the teams.

Here is My RR for the Dirt Dawg 8 Miler I did today.  This was my 1st trail run other than at the local park, and thats all flat.  Today's course was no where close to flat!!  I did enjoy the creek crossing with the temp at 21.  Finish time was at 1:29, I was hoping for closer to 1:20 but I will take it!

21*!, I don't understand that number   Great job!  Actually, now that I think about it I think my morning run was almost the same as yours: 33* ( a rare number here), completely flat, no water crossings, 5.6 miles.  We're almost twins!

Sick here and have been sick since Friday. Starting to feel human today but I managed to miss my runs this weekend. is there a rule to drop your goal if you have been sick? I could probably still handle it but with just getting back into it I don't want to push it.

Absolutely do not push it if you are not felling 100%. Do what you can when you get back healthy . I dont have a rule for lowering one's goal. Would just run and work away at your goal and see where it end up. It after all just for fun and motivation and a little accountability.

Tried to figure out a pacing guide to work with, so I did a 5km all out sprint after my swim workout this am. 5km in 24.58min. I really gave it my all. Know my question. Essentially, should I input this into the Macmillan calculator and set up a pacing guide off of that? Use those numbers for recovery, long runs.... Etc?
Thanks for any help.

Yes most def . That's real close to 8min pace on the 5K . Entering that data in The Macmillan numbers that it suggested made sense to me. like speedwork 400m intervals at 1:49- 1:56 and a half marathon goal of around 1:55 etc . Projecting to longer distances of course is very much dependent on endurance workouts .
