Pre-race routine:

Ate lite three hours prior, eggs, fruit, G, toast, coffee. One hour drive to race.
Event warmup:

Jogging in parking lot 15 minutes prior, HR to 130. But of course it was back down at start.

Comments:

Started wearing shorts, short sleeves, arm warmers, and a cool weather skull cap. When I got warm I rolled the arm warmers down to cover my forearms which was perfect for the remainder of the race.
Stayed with pack starting off at a 7:5 pace, passed some and got passed some. course was easy until the mile nine hill, long. Then after crossing the river on Lancaster headed home there were lots of small, rolling hills which seemed to go on and on and on. Overall, a good race!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing really. My diet was very good and I felt energized the entire race although my hips and legs would disagree.
Post race
Warm down:

Jogged some and then walked for about five minutes. I should have made it longer. Lots of fruit/carb type snacks and water to fuel up.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I need a better aerobic base. Legs got really tired at that pace and HR was higher than I want it to be.

Event comments:

This was only my second 1/2 marathon and first time at The Cowtown. Everything seemed to go very well according to my limited experience.

Very nice race for your 2nd HM.  Speed looks great to me!  I think starting a little fast was good on this course.  And yes, my Garmin read quite a bit longer too...13.37.
