3/28: 195.4

4/4: 196.4

April Goal: 190

I better stop screwing around or I won't get my goal weight for my Half on the 29th.  The good thing is I started at 213 lbs so I have shed enough to make a difference.  I ran my last half at 210 so even if I don't lose any this much I'm enough lighter to make a difference.  Just need to get back to eating clean and getting in all my workouts.

4/11: 194.8  Not bad for how bad I ate on Saturday.  My goal will be hard but obtainable.

April 10 - 216

I just got back from vacation on Monday and I knew I would be up a little but it wasn't as bad as I had feared. On Monday I was at 218 but today was down to 216. Still I was at 213 when we left on March 30th. Hopefully by next week I will be back down to 213.

April Goal - 210

Final Goal - 185

Better than a kick in the nads is what I always say.

Funny, I've never said that. Must find an opportunity when that's appropriate. Ha!

Wow, great job this week, gang!  Everyone I looked at posted a loss, SUPER!!!

Now for me:

4/4: 187

4/11: 186

April goal: 180

I'm happy to see a loss.  I have been trying to lose weight with only diet the past 2 weeks because of illness and injury.  Last night was my first night back in the pool and I'm hoping to get a bike ride in tonight.  Hopefully the mixture of diet and workouts will speed things up a bit.  I'm really looking forward to < 180 and beyond!

Wednesday weigh-in - I am delightfully surprised. I was sure that Easter weekend would set me back, but honestly, I didn't eat that much. I also kept my OA abstinence and didn't touch any candy or anything like that. Still, something about this week felt off.

But I'm on a roll apparently. (without too much butter or jam - ba dum bum, thanks folks, I'll be here all week)

April4 - 259.5

April11 - 256.4

Great job!

Morning....

Ended March at my race goal weight of 204.6.  Then I ate whatever I wanted for three days, so re setting goals.   April sub 200

4/2/12: 209.6.  Yikes!

4/5/12:  205.4

4/12/12:  205.2.   Slight loss, which given my Easter weekend activities, is actually a relief

Goal: 199

Hello there, I've been away from BT for a couple weeks so I hope it's okay to just jump into this thread. Was away on vacation where it was too hot and humid for me to get in any running or workouts. I did walk a lot, and I went out dancing a lot, so I'm hoping that that helped keep the BUFFET meals at bay. That's right...buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner! 24 hr snack bar. All inclusives are not a dieter's best friend. I don't drink though, that helps. And I stuck with mainly vegetarian and seafood, and didn't go too crazy. I must have done well because I'm down to 127.5 lbs from 130 where I started this month.

Just started counting calories in the last month, and except for being away on vacation, have done well. And...I guess it's starting to show! My goal is to get down to 120 lbs, although I don't have an "end date" mapped out. Doing it slowly, about a 1/2 lb a week, and when I get to 120 I want to stay there! Or, I'll reevaluate and see if it's okay to lose more. But first, to get to 120!

Thanks for listening, and keep posting, I love reading about everyone else's weightloss.

Forgot to post on Wednesday, 205.4 for me.

Headed back in the right direction but only two weeks for me to go sub  200 or I will be severly dissapointed in myself.

3 pounds is great! Don't be too hard on yourself, time is not important.

To avoid disappointment, I keep in mind that no matter how long it takes to loose, I am healthier than the previous week, month or year.

Don't be disappointed!!!  Just remember, you are off the couch, getting healthier everyday, and that you have the courage and guts to get out there and accomplish your goals!  Weight is a number to me, not who I am (although the scale can be considered my arch nemesis somedays!)

I am new to BT, so here is my back story a little:

I was 230 lbs after giving birth to my last kiddo.  For some strange reason I got the idea that I could run the Austin Half Marathon in less than a month of training.  Sounded impossible, but I managed to complete it, fell in love with running, and have been on the path to my first triathlon which is less than 2 weeks away.  I am now down to 182 lbs.  I saw people who were out there accomplishing amazing things that I don't think others would find possible.  We can be our own worst enemy, so I try to focus on the positive aspects of my fitness and weight loss, even in the face of a setback!

So April goal:  between 175 and 180 would be awesome!

Shermbelle - 2012-04-18 12:13 AM Weigh in day peeps!

I have been posting early on Wednesdays the last several weeks, but I hit a snag today. I use the Wii Fit for my scale. The last couple days I can't get it to turn on. The wii, not the balance board. I don't know if the unit is dead or not.

This may be occasion to switch to a dedicated scale. Then I won't have to deal with one of those guilting me about my balance, or reminding me that yes I am still obese whole I am losing pounds each week. I think the claims that the wii fit programming is more Eastern in philosophy means that it's entirely shame based.

So, when I get a real scale, I'll post.

4/17: 192.0  I had a great week of eating and workouts.  I only have 2 lbs to lose by the 29th to get to my goal weight for the race.  The bad thing is I will be tapering during that time so I will definitly need to watch what I eat so I don't bounce back up.  After that race I am going to try and get down to 180 for my first open water tri July 8th.  Oh and the great thing is when I put my numbers into the BMI I am no longer "overweight".  I take BMI with a grain of salt because it doesn't allow for athletic people, but it still feels good.

4/18 - 219.2

That feels great!  Keep up all the good work people.

I hope I can reach the high end of my goal of 215lbs by the end of this month, but I'm not sure.  Going to be tied up at work the next week and not going to get nearly as much training in as I wish.  Just have to make sure that I still eat healthy at least and don't succumb to fast food for my meals.

My official "weigh in" is always Fridays, I have lost 2 pounds already this week with three days to go I am now at 190 Lbs. Highly motivated to loose another pound, reach my goal a week ahead and say goodbye forever to another special number.

Will keep you updated.

The last time I was this weight, is around the time I got on my knees and proposed to my wife almost 25 years ago. I barely recognize the guy in the mirror Smile
