Spring has sprung. How are you doing? What are your goals for April?

March goal = 182

I hit 181.8 a few days ago - yeah!

Starting April at 182.8 (up a little after my race yesterday).

Goal for April = 175 by April 30.

Ended March at my race goal weight of 204.6.  Then I ate whatever I wanted for three days, so re setting goals.   April sub 200

Reached my goal for March on March 23, now at 197.

Goal for April 27 is 189 Lbs.

My end of March goal was 223 and I was blowing by that by the 26th.  My total goal starting this thing was 220 and as of this morning I have reached it.

New Target is 210

End of April goal is 215.

Well, I had an awesome two months, with weight loss every week. I last weighed in March 28 at 258.2. However, with our half-marathon carbo load and bad choices post race, I think this week I will see some bounce back. I was actually craving my high fiber diet by Sunday afternoon. I will check in tomorrow with an honest weigh in. I knew once I hit that 100 pound mark, I'd have a speedbump moment. Onward and downward.

Hi Claw.

Congratulation on improving your time on the HM, I find it incredible that you can run that long at 258 Lbs. I run 35 minutes and spend another 30 icing my knee while my legs scream bloody murder. You are definitely an example to follow.

Oh hey, thanks - but going slow works wonders. I see people a heck of a lot bigger than me doing the distance and more. But I have to admit, when I was at Disney, in pain from my ill-prepared half, watching the full marathoners the next day, I saw a lot of very heavy folks doing the marathon. Some of them had goofy challenge bibs. That's doing both races in two days. I was impressed that they could do it. But at the same time, I said to myself "maybe you could run a marathon at 280. But why would I want to?" So that's why I'm here. Cool

OK, my April checkin. After two solid months of weekly losses, I posted a slight bounceback. I'm not surprised, considering our weekend. But where a moment like this would have led to an all-or-nothing resignation years ago, I take it for what it is. I weighed every day this week to see the fluctuation. Actually, if I only go by last Wednesday's weigh in, I'm still losing. I was too excited to see a drop below 260 last Thursday, even though I knew it wouldn't hold over the half-mary weekend.

So, actually, after the longest weigh in preamble ever.... (sorry about that)

January 13 - 287.5

Feb 1 -279.3

March 1 -267

April 4 - 259.5

Goal for end of April: 250. I want to be under 245 by TriRock Annapolis on May 12. I can't wait to compare my pictures from last year. That's 3 pounds a week. Not crazy, but steady discipline still needed.

Oh yeah, in my N=1 experience, 29 pounds lost (and proper training) yielded a heck of an improvement. Please post results with your time drop so we can celebrate with you.

I'm back, gotta get the commitment back.  I really want to drop pounds to bring my speed up and make life biking up hills and riding in aero easier.

I was 190.5 on 4/5 and want to be at 185 or less on 4/21. That is when I am running the Tar Heel 10 miler. I was down to 187 earlier in March. So I think I am drinking to much soda and to many sweets.

I am little higher than normal, I had a cook out in small group Tuesday and have been high since. (2 burgers and 1 hot dog later, makes me higher than I have been.) I have to make good choices with food. I start the day strong but usually finish weakly. Eating to many sweets!

Welcome aboard, don't look at the distance you have to go, it will discourage you. Just enjoy every small steps you make and how much easier day to day things will become.

I was 227 at the start of the year.  I weighed 197 on April 5.  Will be 193 by end of April.  Goal weight was originally 190, but I may have to change that.

Friday morning is where I finish my week. I could hardly believe the scale this morning.

193 Lbs, another 4 pounds lost this week.

My goal is 189 for April 27, so I should make it. I don't expect as good a result next week, as i will be spending 60 hours at work, so a lot less time to train. Hoping for another pound. Still feeling great.
