I'm an electrical engineer/planner for a large public utility.

I've been able to talk a few co-workers into doing sprints and one of my buddy's just finished Oceanside 70.3 for his 3rd tri.

Husband, Father and best friend to my wife and 3 children first. Manager at one of the largest wholesale clubs second. To find time for training and triathlons, amazing. I guess time management might be my best job.

I work for Customs and Border Protection as a law enforcement officer.  I also teach firearms and defensive tactics as a collateral duty.  Been a LEO for 17 years.  If I had to go out and find a real job, I'd be in trouble!  I needed the triathlon training as a stress release...at times I'm more scared of the people I work with carrying guns then the bad guys!  Just kidding.  Not really.  Fuzzz

I am a mattress tag repair man.  I'm the guy you call when, in a fit of rebellion against authority, you decide to remove the tags on the mattress that say "do not remove under penalty of law", then later feel regret and fear that you may be prosecuted.  I also moonlight as a crash test dummy.

Great thread and what a surprised to see what everyone does!

I am a client service manager working with financial institutions in multiple states so I am on the road a lot. I make my own schedule so I can try to fit my training schedule around my work schedule.

My boss thinks exercise is more dangerous then not working out at all.

I work in journalism. After five years working as a reporter and news editor covering Congress, I switched to a management role in the operations side of our editorial department and it has been very, very good for my training. No more 80 hour weeks, generally come in at 10am and leave by 6 or 7pm -- it's great.

I work with a LOT of runners and triathletes. We tend to attract a lot of type-A personalities at my company.

What an interesting bunch of people! Another airline pilot here. After training on the road the last couple of years, I am now enjoying the benefits of seniority and enjoying a cushy, nearly part-time schedule. Lots of time for training, and most of it on weekdays while my daughter is in school, so no more mommy guilt! I have run into a few other triathletes at my company, some of them dabblers, some Ironmen. Lots of runners that I keep trying to convert, too!

Love the flexibility of my job - hate the lack of co-workers.  Hopefully will meet knew local friends on the tri circuit.

I own a tax preparation and accounting business and when that's not taking all of my time, I also own a restaurant.  Which just in case anyone was wondering, owning a restaurant is a never-ending baby-sitting job.

I work in HR, so I basically babysit adults all day!

My co-workers are mostly overweight, stressed out women who think I am insane for bringing my lunch and snacks everyday and working out during lunch.  I get snide comments and weird looks quite often.

Babysiting adults...that is funny!!  Those women are just jealous and wish they could do that.

Hey! Just noticed where you live -- my mom lives in Shelton (Lake Limerick), so you are practically neighbors.
