As I was riding home from work, I turned into the wind and instictively began to crouch into the aero position...only to realize that I was on my upright commuter bike that doesn't have aerobars.

Anyone else have similar "triathlete instinct" moments outside of training?

When I'm running late to something and I break into a full-sprint run across a large parking lot I stop myself and think to myself, "Bad Debbie, today's not a run day!!" lol

My previous coach got really upset if I did things outside of the schedule so now I'm instinctively scared of any physical activity that's not on the schedule ha.

I was struggling to get work done before a deadline once, so I peed in my office chair.

Lunch the other day was a Gu and a Powerbar while walking down the school hallway. A teacher was standing outside of a classroom with a cup of coffee, so I grabbed that chugged a couple of mouthfuls and tossed the cup into the next classroom doorway.

Stay outta my way. I'm training here.

And this is my new office chair:

P.S.
Me (to my boss): I'm not sleeping on my desk, I'm practicing my aero position.

You know you're a Triathlete when work is something you do in between workouts.

I practice my aero-tuck whilst driving... Just gotta remember to glance up occasionally to avoid collision. I also lean into turns.

I walked into the elevator this morning and did a flip turn.  The people in the elevator were looking at me funny.  I couldn't figure out if it was the flip turn or the fact that I hadn't showered before jumping in the elevator. Sealed

I find myself in transition practice mostly - putting on shoes and socks without sitting down.  I like to work on balancing on one foot. Usually after a masters swim class when I am changing back into work clothes.

I knew I was meant for triathlon because I always ate on the move, either in the car or walking back to the office from a local sandwich shop.

Last week at Costco I was behind a guy drifting his cart to the left and right and I almost shouted, "Hold your line!" so I could pass him.

Every morning when it's getting late for work (or workout) I think of it (breakfast, shower, getting dressed, grabbing my stuff) as a house-to-car transition and try to make it as fast as I possibly can.

Don't do at zero what you can do at ??mph.  Eat, and possibly dress, on the road.

That is HILARIOUS!!!  Although a 'spitting alert' would have been nice so that I wouldn't have to now clean off my monitor from spraying my coffee all over it!

I have actually said "on your left" in Costco before.  No joke.

I was driving to the office the other day passing another car when he started to move into my lane....instead of hitting the horn I yelled "on your left." Clearly ineffective with the windows up at 65mph.
