Hi Debbie, welcome to the group!!

To answer your question what most of us are doing is posting our current weight, and the weight we would like to be once our weight loss journey is done. Some of us, myself included are posting how much weight we'd like to loose this month. Some are also posting body measurements and body fat percentages.

On Monday or so we weigh ourselves and post it. It's to keep each of us honest with our weight loss commitment and keep us motivated by seeing the numbers going down.

For instance lady week I actually gained two pounds because of poor diet choices. By posting this I was able to keep myself accountable and it also allowed others to offer words of encouragement for this week. And guess what, I last those two pounds this past week!

Hope this helps. Just post as much information as your comfortable with. There is no set amount.

07/30 Monday this week 97.5kg - 214.9lbs 

08/06 would like to be 212 by then. What day do we weigh in again?

08/08 - 212.2 - 2.7lbs this week. Amazing what no drinking does 

 

15/08 - 210.5lbs this week  1.7 down - had a boozy friday on a work function also! Damaged rib though is limiting training.

So, I've decided I needed some help in my weight loss journey. I have a 10 month old daughter and the pregnancy weight is not coming off like I thought it would. Of course, I don't think I've tried all that hard so it's time to be accountable to someone other than myself. After a glutinous week on vacation of eating and drinking whatever I wanted, I weighed in this morning at 180. I am hoping by watching what I'm eating and exercising that by the end of the month I can be down to 175. Augh.

Thank you for the welcome to the group! An injury earlier this spring halted my training plans and workouts so that hasn't helped much but it's time to get going now. I'm back running and swimming now and it feels great.

Wow, this is getting just scary, we mirror each other horribly.  I have been in the same boat again. Got down to within ounces of cracking 200 earlier this year and now am back in the mid 220's. Get in a good rut and then blow it all up again. In my head I know I can lose it easy with just solid training and discpline but the amount of time I have spent over 200 pounds vs when I was last under is getting longer and longer. NEED FOCUS!!!

You both sound really similar to my roller coaster ride over the last couple of years!!!  Read/calculated that my "ideal" weight would be about 193 but I have not seen that since the early 90's (but it is my new goal) and only spent a couple of dozen days below 200 this century.

OK, hopefully it was just the two salty meals I had Sat and Sund (MX and IT).  I've been pretty focused this week and am intent on making choices consistent with my goals.  Currently that means no soda at all.  just water.  That was one of the things I did when I first started losing

Hope everyone had a good week.  I stayed on nutrition plan, ran 3X, and went on a 5 mile walk last Sat.  I weigh in on Mondays (to keep myself accountable for the weekend) so here is where I was on Monday.  (As of July 4th SW:243) LW:226 CW:224  Have a great weekend everyone!

Keep forgetting to post my weight, I think it's a subconscious thing since I am pretty much maintaining.

217.5 on 8-22 my first and probably my only race this year is Sunday an Oly. Excited, but then an after race party will probably blow things up. Sad, but I am looking forward to winter, my work schedule slows down and I can work out more consistently!
