I am in. I am looking forward to this race since it was called off last year.

I'll be there. Will be my first Olympic distance. Needless to say I'm a bit nervous.

Same for me (first Oly).  Actually have a family event this weekend but hoping to still make it Sunday morning.  Going to be an early morning.  Weather looks great.

Could you ask for better weather yesterday? I loved the race. PR for me and finally under the 3 hour mark at 2:55:16. I also like the fact that my family could take part in the food after the race. Bad part is it looks as if my chip wasn't working because I wasn't anywhere on the list. Great job with the race Kevin, can't wait to do it next year. I would also like to apologize to everyone who had to run around my truck, it broke down coming out of transtion on the run. My wife was driving it and the brakes locked up. They where able to back it up onto the grass. I ran right by it coming on my way back in and didn't even see it.

Sucks that your chip didn't work.  I wonder if that happened to lots of people since I saw nearly 250 registered online yet only 204 finishers listed.  Maybe there were a lot of DNS or DNF but seems like a high rate.  I wish the splits listed transition times as well but looks like T1 was lumped into bike time and T2 into run time (I do have my real splits on my garmin at least).  Obviously garmins aren't exact but mine registered this course short - a little short on the swim and I know I didn't swim a perfect line, about 0.9 miles short on bike and 0.3 miles short on run.

This was my first Olympic distance.  I loved the race.  Overcast and 60s-70s in August - are you kidding me?  Weather could not have been better.  I really like the olympic race distance.  Looking forward to more next year and possibly a HIM.

I don't know about the rest of the course being short but I usually swim 1500m between 29:30 and 30:00. I came out of the water at 29:47. Who knows?

If you look at the course maps they sent out before the event, the bike course states that it is 24.1 miles. I believe an olympic bike is usually 24.8, correct?

I did notice that on the bike course on the website.  Comparing my garmin to the run map from website, I can see where the course was cut a little short on one small section.  Of course, with the long uphill run from the lake to T1, I'm sure we ran over 10k!

Fun race though.
