After coming back from IMFL being a volunteer im a little bit of both..excited and nervous..since this my first HIM..but not first time at this venue. It will be interesting how many signed up for this..

Oh well thats a first to hear..to DNF on purpose but i understand your reasons for sure.. im not a strong swimmer or runner by any shape of the imagination..but being this is my first HIM i just plan to do my best on each leg of this race and keep thinking of that finish line ...should be a great day..

roxy, i agree with you. i'm in no stretch of the imagination strong in any part. this is my first at this distance also. i'm just hoping that i'm not a complete veg for the rest of the day!

mandeville...its about an hour and half drive for me. I just got the athlete guide..looks like im last in the water anyway..oh well coach told me to wait till everyone went in anyway to kill the nervous of being smacked around by everyone else.. fun fun..

I know exactly where mandeville is, I grew up in mandeville. Once I pick up my packet Friday, I'll post my race # and you can introduce yourself at the race. My wife and kids spent all afternoon making "secret posters" to wave at me during the race. It seems that I'm not the only one in my house anxious about Saturday.

Good luck at IMAZ!!!! Would love to do that race someday but no IM's for me until the kids are out of the house. I get a bit compulsive and my last attempt to train for the Swim/Bike of an IM was a bit much for the family and can't imagine adding running into the mix. Oh well, I hear the 55-59 AG isn't as competitive!

Im picking mine up today in Nola..since I work in the area..so Ill be sure to post mine as well. thats sweet of them to have something made to keep you moving..I saw so much of that last weekend at IMFL when I was volunteering.

The nervous excitement of this is defently there..been that way since last weekend..and I heard the weathers gonna be awesome too.

You just make other people nervous! LOL, I know I have seen you at various races and at the airport not too long ago. I will have to introduce myself on Saturday. BTW, thanks forthe help on the race stuff and will PM you my last question soon.

Will hit packet pickup on Friday in BTR and will post my number. If it helps I will be the guy in the black Xterra wetsuit (new Vector pro if that helps).
