Swim
Comments: Much better than I had anticipated considering my issues controlling my breathing in past OWS events and training. Felt very comfortable for the entire swim. What would you do differently?: Need to work on sighting a bit more as there were a few times I used some breast stroke for a brief rest/sight. Transition 1
Comments: First event with a wet suit and still managed a decently T1. What would you do differently?: Wait until I get my arms out of wet suit before I take my cap/goggles off. Bike
Comments: Overall the bike went really well. Kept myself at a smooth and steady pace. I was expecting to get some sports drink at an aid station at the turn around point, however there was not an aid station! What would you do differently?: Bring my own fuel! Transition 2
Comments: Very smooth T2, lessons learned from last year were applied. Run
Comments: Due to my poor planning and not bringing fuel for the bike portion I felt drained on the run. This lead to some walking on the short uphill segments and was mentally defeating to a degree. What would you do differently?: Make sure I have my fuel and a better mental outlook! Post race

Sushi dinner the night before. Breakfast consisted of PBnJ sandwiches followed by a banana 30 minutes before race start.
