I feel like I am way too late, and I am an east coast American with the belief that time znes should revolve around me, so I need help in translating he time, but whenever it is, I AM IN.

I'm trying to work out some estimated times and someone correct me if I am wrong but according to the IM Japan website race waves are at 6:00, 6:10, 6:13, 6:19, and 6:22am Japan Time.  If I plug that into time zone calculator, first wave starts Friday afternoon at 5:00pm Eastern time and 2:00pm Pacific time.

I see you don't have anybody during your transitions. I will be happy to be with you there, but I have to warn you I take them nice and easy and I ALWAYS grab a handful of M&M's when I get off the bike!

Japan is one day ahead, but 5 hours behind Hawaii.  So if you are starting at 7:30 am Japan time, that's like 12:30 pm on Friday.  I normally eat lunch around 11:30 am, so put me down for your last pre-race snack one hour before your race.  I'll eat a pop tart.

So good to see you! You'll laugh when you see  what I put your name down as ... remember, YOU'RE the hot one. I think of you and your kids every time I see his Gucci ad. (Which here is very often, pretty much every time I'm watching TV, which is every time I'm on the trainer, which is ... all the time.)

So I think of you all the time! {MELON PRESS}

No clue about Japan time and east coast time.  My brains don't compute that many time zones without a lot of effort and after the week I've had mental effort is not gonna happen for trivial things like time zone computation.

I am in however, for whatever portion of the run you want.

(((MELONPRESS))) in advance cause you need them to keep moving.

That is sweet! Maybe you should tape the Gucci ad to your transition bag. you can also put me on the run if you want since that is the only thing I can really do!

Just realized your race is on Aug 31- that would have been my dad's 74th birthday so it is a special day!

Try this: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

You can use the meeting planner, enter the two (or more cities) and it will give you the time in each city.

I'm available if you need help in T2 (though I tend to have difficulty with it in reality, based on my recent race results), or doubles on the swim. (Always wanted to do an Ironman swim, if not the rest of the race, so will gladly join you in spirit there!) Not sure what's involved in virtual pacing. I'll be at a conference in Shanghai (or should be) on the 31st, so at least I'll be physically pretty close--not sure about tracker access but I'll try when I can get away with it. Go for it!

Y'all are breaking through the taper madness and turning the crabbiness into deep gratitude and some vague semblance of being humbled (I was never too good at that).

Thank you.

If you lose your appetite or run out of food I'll eat for ya! Remember, I can pick up stuff someone dropped and get it down with a smile. Hell, it might have even been left over from a previous race!

And, in the event you start to slack off, just remember. I'm right behind you, ready to show you my LIZARD!

I'm not quite half way into my IM training. I just raced a sprint and on Monday I woke up and felt like I'd been drugged! Not sore, just incredibly fatigued.
