Originally posted by Kido Anyone see Naked Vegas last night? So new "reality" show about the body painting industry. Calling it "reality" is an absolute joke though. Semi-nonscripted would be a better name for it. We knew half the people in there and none of them are why they were portraying and half the back storys/facts were manufactured and fake. I saw part of it, but figured it was like most "reality" shows in that there really isn't a whole lot of unscripted dialogue that goes on - though maybe it is, but fairly constrained dialogue? Or directed dialogue.. as in trying to get the reactions the director is looking for? Either way, we turned it off about 1/2 way through and went out for a delicious sushi dinner with a friend that happened to be in town. Hm. I'm totally content not having cable... though I did watch Ancient Aliens on Hulu. It was entertaining. I love when science entertains ideas that seem outlandish. I'm STILL trying to get caught up on Breaking Bad!! |

Either way, we turned it off about 1/2 way through and went out for a delicious sushi dinner with a friend that happened to be in town. It's not scripted because there is no "script" to memorize. BUT, they will tell you to say a few thing or act in a way and you improvise. If they like something, they will have you repeat it, etc. There were countless times the wife and I were watching and just saying that's absolutely not true or fabrication.
PS, the wife was on it! Even had a line or two. At the beginning. So she got the full scoop on the cast and no one was who they said they were, nor was the entire premise of the show and many of the other cast members (the wedding party) were hired cast, not actual friends of the "wedding party". And the Palms has no such rules as they suggested AND you would have known about them up front. It wouldn't be a surprise. But that ads drama if it seems like it's an emergency they have to suddenly solve. Notice how in all these shows the ALWAYS solve the "emergency" at the last second? Dangit - I missed seeing Tala. Pout! SOOOO true about the last second emergencies - and somehow they always manage to save the day. |

Between 2 and 3 cups when you pull it all off the bones (which is gross). And the chicken is like 5 bucks. |

Wasn't going to say anything, until I saw she was second to last in her AG. Felt bad for the last person that actually completed the course. |

They were probably started at 7:30pm the night before and simply kept out all night.

Iron Donkey 38643 , Wisconsin | Subject: RE: TAN 202: A bunch of rotTAN apples One...uh, Two! Hello, TAN! I have a little TMI to post and apologize if some of it does not make sense since I'm on percocet and fighting to stay awake a little longer. I've been home all week due to getting some minor surgery done. I was suffering from a prolapsed internal hemorrhoid, but worse was the rather LARGE external thrombosed hemorrhoid, and I mean LARGE, like several centimeters (the Dr. said it was one of the largest she ever had to deal with). I ran and completed the 50 mile Ultra with them, making the race a little more unbearable. Then, the day after the race, had to ride across the state for over 3 hours in a minivan to my sister's wake, endure the time at the wake, then ride another 3 hours back home. I went in yesterday to general surgery and had them removed. Getting a local in the most sensitive area is not fun, either. I praise women big time when they have to deal with shat like that. Respect. I bled a lot last night and never saw clots before like what I had - it looked like deep red-colored slime. Yuck. Within 2 hours, I had to change my dressings at least 3 times since it wouldn't coagulate. I called the doctor to get reassurance to just apply direct pressure and try icing, too. Pain pain pain pain pain, but it's under control now. I sure hope this heals quickly - this will be my second Halloween that I ever missed. Gawd, percocet makes me feel "wonky". Fishing wall whisked squirrel pumpkins. See Brad, it does "f" me up. Edited by 1stTimeTri 2013-10-31 10:05 AM |
