Here we go BT, another week has started!

4:30am:  60 minutes on the KK

5:30am:  30 mins stretching, stretching, stretching

Felt good to get my legs moving--the ride got the muscles nice and warm for some stretching and rolling.  One more week of solid training and then taper for St. George...aaaaah!

Have a great Monday!

Was a total lazy over the holiday weekend so I decided to re-do my Week 4 training.

1500y swim (600, 300, 4x100, 4x50)

14min treadmill run.

Happy training everyone!

Was supposed to be 7 miles while kids were at track practice but their practice ended early so 5 miles today and 2 miles tonight.

Yep, another week - a little sluggish after yesterday!

6.5 mile run this morning

Then took the kids to school, then headed to the pool

4300yd - the longest swim I've ever done.
I was feeling motivated, and wanted to see how it would feel. Plus I had a set in mind that I just added to, so it wasn't too hard to keep track of laps.
Other than my shoulders being a bit tight, everything felt good! Progress!

I took most of last week off. I was completely exhausted and mentally tired.
This past weekend I did some heavy bike and some running.
Saturday was a 30 mile bike with a 4 mile run..
Sunday was another 30 mile bike, but with 3500 ft. of climbing. Long, big, hills and a mountain. Ugh.. I can barely walk up stairs today !

So, today, I did an easy, speedy 1700 in the pool.

Maybe later do a run.

I'm baaack! Longest time I've ever been off training and I have 15 extra lbs to prove it. Most I've weighed in my life.

Donned my Boston 2013 shirt and wheezed through 2.75 miles. First run since last September, so I'm sort of happy.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

I have been able to swim 200-300 yards without stopping for the past couple of weeks, but this morning I couldn’t swim more than 50. Could not eating make a big differance?

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
