Yep - I just got in from my run and if my quip jock math is right it looks like he went just under 2:33 for the first loop. That is crazy-fast on that course and you KNOW he is pacing it well too.

He was 57th in the AG coming out if the water and has steadily moved up to 20th on the bike!

Seriously! We should have gotten him a bell.. He is absolutely flying - now in 11th place in the AG with about 10 miles to go.

Ok - he is off the bike in 5:09:49 (that is over 7~8 MINUTES FASTER THAN LAST YEAR IIRC!) and out on the run course with a 4:16 minute T2. Still in 11th place. So, big improvements on both the run and swim, and the run is where Fred should REALLY able to shine relative to last year! GOOOOOOOOO FRED!

He is through the 6 mile mark and still averaging a sub 8 pace: 7:52 miles to be exact (that is a 4:53 per kilometer for our friends in the Far North)!

Through the first half in 1:45.  Pace dropped off slightly in the last section but that is definitely the hardest part of the run course.

I know - insane! Fred is working on something very special at the moment. He is going to crush 10 hours. right now should finish 9:56-ish - the last 2.8 miles are gonna be fast though - I am betting 9:55 - We will find out in about 10 minutes...looks like he has done this perfectly!

15th AG and 69th OA although I suspect that OA could change as some of the later waves finish up.

Fantastic Job, Jim!

Bobby is still out but has less than 6 miles to go on the run. Very excited for him as well.
