Not suprisingly the Cali 70.3 in Oceanside sold out in a few days. This was my first HIM and I was so looking forward to doing this race again I made sure I registered on 7/15 when registration opened. Any other BT'ers successfully register for this race?

I'm actually quite suprised that it sold out so quickly, I've done it a couple times and it took a long time to sell out before.

I couldn't do it anyway so wasn't trying but am shocked at a 2 day sellout. It's good for the race I guess.   Used to be able to sign up in September, with a June opening!

I signed up. I did it in 2013 and was thinking about it for 2014 but it sold out quicker than expected. This year I was thinking about it and saw they posted only 50 spots left so I jumped on it.

I just finished the NYC marathon on Sunday and I think I'm going to venture into triathlons. I am doing an Olympic distance and I want to do a 70.3 next year too. Any advice?

Some mistakes I made during the Hawaii Ironman 70.3. Don't be caught out on the course not knowing how or not having the equipment to change a flat tire.

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.
