Subject: Speed work before long bike day? Work is killing my training schedule recently and I have to adjust a lot of days. I started training on Tuesday night with a local tri group and they do speed work on Tuesdays. This Tuesday would have been 16x200 as the main set. I was exhausted after work on Tuesday and didn't get off until after the track workout was over with. Think I was starting to catch something and just passed out when I got home and skipped all workouts all together. I moved running to tonight and Friday is my other main running day. What do you think of doing speed work the day before a long bike brick (5 hour ride + 45-60 min run )? Good idea..bad idea? I normally do 5x6min intervals on Friday anyway so I don't think it would be too bad but wanted any advice from anyone who does this or tried before I jumped in. This Friday I was going to switch it up and do an all out 5K + tempo workout, so either way Friday will be hard |
