Good morning BT!

4:30am;  35 min fast and furious on the KK

5:15am:  Strength stuff + core

2 1/2 day week for me this week--yahoo!

Jamie, had a great trail run yesterday--thanks for the legs!  Ha!  While I didn't have your speed, I think my body is finally becoming more of a fat burning machine.  First great run since fully switching my diet to no sugar or grains.  Feeling really good!

Have a great day all!

Tri yesterday was ok. run was crap due to sore hips.

nothing officially planned for today, but may do a light bike ride this afternoon and a massage.

Does that mean you're doing the paleo diet? That's what my aunt did and she lost a ridiculous amount of fat. Rest day for me, but I plan on hitting the foam roller for a good massage. Have a great day everybody.

Cycling and leg session at the gym, then a discussion with fitness consultant about that particular program.

He's altered it, as I didn't feel challenged by my session today - but rather than just increasing time on the bike and weights he has added specific techniques.

I am developing a great 'working' relationship with the consultant, and I am seeing the benefits.

Oh yeah, happy Monday

I'm meeting my coach today to work on balance. He says that the main reason that I'm a slow swimmer is because I lack unity in the water. My right side has great form but my left side comes and screws everything up and I lose almost all momentum. Afterwards I'll do a run with the tri team and a short swim on my own because the pool we usually swim at is closed for Thanksgiving.

Masters Swim this morning at 6:00AM.  2100 yds.  Focus of the day was streamlines off the wall.

Long swim for me of 2,800 yards. Surprisingly it felt good.

Jamie- you mentioned Tx and I always wondered where you were running. When you mentioned Barton Springs I finally figured it out. Half of my family is in the Austin and San Antonio area. Great area

Have a good week everyone!

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

I have been able to swim 200-300 yards without stopping for the past couple of weeks, but this morning I couldn’t swim more than 50. Could not eating make a big differance?

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
