Subject: Old CycleOps Fluid Trainer I am a relatively new cyclist. Got into it a few years back, then away from it, and now back again. Today I got on my trainer (which has been sitting in a basement since 2012, and at that time I bought it used from a friend ). Everything felt great, but at the end I burned myself (literally ) on the large gray wheel on the end of the roller. The roller itself wasn't hot, but the wheel to the left of it was EXTREMELY HOT. Is this normal? Is this OK? I mean: note to self. Got it. Don't touch. But should I be concerned? Is there anything I need to do to give the trainer a tune up?
I don't know the specific model. It does NOT have they yellow plastic knob in the back like the newer ones - the knob is black. And the sticker/logo just says Fluid CycleOps.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. |
