Throwing this out to see if anyone has had a similar issue and can help trouble shoot.
On a ride this weekend I kept seeing my power reading on Garmin 500 drop to 0 then back up to power. this was happening really frequently. My initial thought was that maybe my battery was low on my power2max power meter but only have maybe 40 hours on the battery and after looking at my file I also noticed a bunch of Heart Rate drops to 0. My Garmin was fully charged and has latest firmware. The bad news is that it happened as I was doing an FTP test but the good news is after clearing out the 0's it looks like I got a pretty nice gain in my FTP. Anybody out there have similar issues / recommendations to trouble shoot? Also looks like you gain change settings in Garmin to disregard 0's when reporting power???
Thanks,
Patrick

Was this indoors?  If so there are many things that can cause interference and result in dropouts like this.  Could be a wifi signal, fans or some other electrical equipment.   I've heard of people having trouble if their Garmin has a water bottle in between the PM and it (although that wouldn't explain the HR dropouts).

For me, it has happened if I have my two fans really close to the front of my bike.

I've got a 910xt and saw the same thing with my power output during a ride last Thursday.  HR values also went to zero when this happened.  Wonder if I got an automatic update to my 910xt recently and perhaps it is a software issue that could impact multiple bike computer platforms.
