Subject: Using a "not to exceed - watts" for hills I'm getting better at pacing my rides, setting NP goals and being pretty close to them when I'm done. In doing this, I'm also using RPE and HR data...especially on ascents. I've been playing around with setting a "not to exceed - Watts" # (while climbing ), but it's been on speculation (speculation....using RPE and HR ).
Has anyone seen an article (s? ) that speaks to this? I'm betting there's a more scientific way to arrive at the number.
