Subject: RE: 10.11.17 What's Up Wednesday! Last day of shopping and eating (have been doing both shamelessly ) in Singapore!
8:30-ish: 30 minutes of strength stuff in hotel fitness room
11:30-ish: 40 minutes of OWS at Sentosa. Not the world's most awesome beach, but easy access by public transport, lifeguards, reasonably clean changing rooms with showers and lockers, and safe for solo swimming--more than I can say about probably any body of open water in Vietnam.
As I was swimming across the bay, saw what appeared in the distance to be a very awkward swimmer towing what looked like one of those OWS visibility/ emergency flotation tubes. Good thing he/she has it, I thought, looks like it might be needed. Decided to swim by anyway to make sure they were okay as lifeguard was at the opposite end of the beach. It turned out to be a woman sidestroking beside her small, tube-shaped dog who was swimming (dog paddling? ) on a leash while wearing an orange flotation device. That is a first!
