Day 5 of the challenge and from what I've seen, most of us are still going strong. I have had 3 consecutive guilt-free workouts after starting with the guilt motivation. Keep it up T'weekers!!!

Good news being reprted by CNN: "A source close to President (Queen) Mary has told CNN that a presidential order - royal edict - will be forthcoming shortly, authorizing 12 oz curls (YES - BEER!) as a qualifying workout. This comes as great news to the west coast members of the T'weekers".

I pinked today with a long run. I followed it up with (based on insane advice from this site) with my first ever ice bath. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! The boys were very unhappy.

Hmmm... another west coast slight. Color me so offended! (o: Well, this west coaster is going for a long(ish) run in about 1 hour and 10 min. A nice little six miles. Feeling perfectly pink!!

Dana

(The irony here, of course, is that I truly detest pink. But it is quickly becoming my banner cry!)

I'm pink!  Although I still say it's "tan" and not pink.  Maybe my color needs adjustment on my computer.  I'm sure I could make it pink.

Queen Mary - how in the heck did you find a $15 bridesmaid dress?  That is too awesome!

I had 1/2 a beer at 11:55 am.  In a heavy glass mug.  Needed to celebrate my husband's cousin's arrival in Denver.  Should I count it for strength training?

Pinked a one hour strength class today and a tiny run to warm down. Loved lifting weights. It's my favorite activity. I must've did 48 reps on each body part, four sets of 12 on each one. Then we do step aerobics in between with shoulder work, flys etc. It's such a tiring workout but it was great. Whew. Yoga tomorrow. See ya pinkies.

This little piggie was gonna do nothin but wee wee wee all the way home (no, not literally), I was just planning a nice rest day after work. But no, I have to find the t'weeker link and oh how my life changed in a moment. No rest for the wicked!

I decided I was going to do something, anything! I had to work 8-2 but was planning on a good swim or ab workout. I get sidetracked on the way home and decide I should buy some extra shorts since I'm trying to increase my running. Won't take long though. I made the HUGE mistake of calling my guy and asking him if he wanted to come with me to Ross. Yeah, he wants to come, then after that, he wants to go to Old Navy (for a bloody hour--he outshopped ME!) then he needs to get something to eat, so by 5:30 I'm ready for a nap! But wait, we have a party to be at at 6! How am I going to get my pink???!!!! I wore my swimsuit to the party thinking I might have to pound off some laps, but the pool is shallow and short. I decide we must leave early (esp. since I have to be up at 4:15 to go jump in the lake, literally!) Boyfriend isn't quite ready, wants to make up his mind by 9:00. I start stretching in the guest's kitchen anticipating my midnight run. 9:00 rolls around and he's ready to play Uker (sp?). We make sure he has a ride home and I'm off faster than a prom dress. Home by 9:30. Stretch a little more, guzzle some water, tuck the twins into bed with a handy dandy ACE bandage since I haven't had time to secure a stellar sports bra yet, and I'm out the door by 9:45. Man is it DARK! I am not liking this at all. I decide to run to the stop light and back. Almost a mile and no mace. I couldn't have run any further if it was light outside with this damn ACE bandage on -- I.... can't... breathe! I did it though, I earned my pink! Disclaimer: I don't recommend trading safety for obsession. Now I have insomnia and am going to be a wreck for my group swim at Lake Pleasant. That's ok, it's not like it's a race or anything, just practice for Chicago in a few weeks. Open water though... yeah.... I'm gonna die. Gurgle.... gurgle... must survive... must get my piiiiinnnkk....

I got my pink this morning before I got out of bed (yeah baby). Trust me, sex before a workout is killer. Then I did a brick, 15m bike and 6.2m run all to PB's. It was 60 degrees this morning here in Atlanta, absolutely beautiful weather. It was one of the best workouts I've ever had. I'm actually starting to feel ready for my first oly in 5 weeks.

Ya'll be good.

Thank's for the vote of confidence Gary. However, today is another story, lower back is tight and sore and been icing my R. knee off and on all day. I race next Sunday so I think with all the minor aches and pains today, I'm officially requesting a rest day and excused absence from the Pinkers lineup today.

Didn't sleep well last night, boyfriend stumbled in around 1:00 and I had already freaked out for awhile about the noises near our bedroom door.... 4:15 up for my swim, so freaking tired I could barely keep from banging into walls. Carpool to lake, there and in the water by 6:30. Swam for an hour in my first open water swim, not sure what distance we covered, I did really well sighting but that takes a lot more time than I thought it would. At least I can swim relatively straight. Wow, is that open water weird/freaky/great! So many emotions all rolled up into one! Being out in the middle of the lake with no wall, both liberating and scary! Two girls turned back before the first buoy. (NOTE: "two girls" is not to be confused with "the girls" --it would be rather painful if THEY turned back.) I just sang Eminem's Lose Yourself in my head. You can do anything you set your mind to man, and mine was set on swimming. I feel so much more ready for Chicago in 3 weeks. The wetsuit... that's another story, I've only tried to swim in it once. One more lake swim in 2 weeks, maybe I'll wear the suit then.

Came home at 9:30, slept 2 hours, went for breakfast with recovering boyfriend, ate WAY too much, picked up a computer from a friend's (do you really think I'm gonna set all this up today?), just looking at it is exhausting, back to bed for a 1 1/2 hour nap (what, I'm only human!).

Now I've got to go figure out what's for dinner (yawn) and then back to BED!

And yes, had the pool been a little larger/deeper I would have been kickin' it! As it was being so preoccupied about getting my pink, I was not exactly the life of the party last night! I'm no hero, just pretty in pink.

At a party. Buttercup, you ROCK. (And never mind that you're quoting one of my all time favorite movies either!)

As for me, Saturday isn't pink it's yellow...but I DID do 45 min of yoga, which is why it's yellow I iguess...am I still in?

Today I did a 55mi bike ride/6 mi run brick...and my hubby thinks we're going to have fun tonight...oh yeah right I can barely MOVE...

I am so pink I'm fuschia. If hubby convinces me I'll be beyond fuschia and well into deep purple. Cindy

Yes. Sorta. I don't like to "diet" but I would like to do a little nutritional reform.

As for my Pinkie Challenge -- I raced this weekend! It was an OK race. Nothing spectacular. I saw an improvement on my swim and bike, but I paid for it on the run. I'm soooooo tired tonight.

No workout for me today, but I think the rules allow for some "rest" after a race, right?

I'm hoping to get to the swim lagoon for a relaxing, post-race swim tomorrow evening.

Don,

After a swim, I eat anything that's not bolted down. At first, I did this tri thing to lose weight. Now, I eat to do this tri thing. It is amazing how, at 42, I eat the volume of food I do and I am still losing weight. I admit, though, I've never swam, biked, or run the amount of miles I have in pursuing this tri-goal.

Strong? Well, no.... I'm not going strong.... but I HAD planned on taking these days off, so it's not a big surprise that I am, in fact, taking these days off.

The girl-child graduated from college on Saturday, so my only workout was to put on goofy robes and march down the aisle in the parade of faculty that pleases the parents. Oh, and have a party for 60 people/

Sunday, we loaded the U-Haul. Does that count?

Today, we sent the young graduate on the road to Portland, Oregon, where she will begin the next phase of her life. Perhaps I've lost weight from all the tears I've shed??????

Anyway, I'll get back to normal exercising as soon as I've dispatched all teh grandmothers back to the airport -tomorrow and Wednesday.

I'll see you all then.

Pinked today w/a 1 hour freestyle swim and 1.5 mile run directly afterward. I'm w/you, Karl, my motivated friend, but if I have the right wrench, I will eat anything even if it is bolted down. I have never been so hungry in my life as when I finish an hour and a half swim. The days I swim a hour and follow it w/a short run, I could eat a raw horse. Can't wait for my first full tri! William The Refrigerator Perry will have nothing on me.

This may be a stupid question, but where's the pink! Does it actually show up somewhere? I see a bunch of people w/different colored stars, does that have anything to do w/it? Sorry for my ignorance!
