Hey rookie,

I'm down for a nutrition challenge. I LOVE TO EAT! Which is my problem. I exercise like crazy but I haven't been losing any weight. So I'm back to the chicken salads, strawberries and soup diet. Uggghhh. I hate missing out on great food but I've got to get back on the losing streak.

O.

Buttercup, my royal friend, the stars only are there to show how many posts you have written. I don't know about the "pink" squares or how you get them to show on your training log. One of the forum experts will have to answer that question.

I'm going to knock out a 2000yd swim today for my workout, so I'll be in the Pink. I'm sore after my brick yesterday. Does anyone else get sore from those or is it just me? I would have thought that after 2 months of training, I'd be tired from a brick, but not sore.

Went to the bike shop today, bought one of those Aero water bottles. Pretty cool stuff.

Okay, I've delayed enough, time to swim. Be good.

buttercup--when you enter your hours in the swim, bike, run areas of the training logs it shows a pink(ish) square in the little monthly calendar on the left. Green is for race day and yellow for... strength training??

Dana,

All of mine are yellow. Not that I really love pink, but regardless of the kind of exercise I put down, it shows yellow on the calendar. How did ya make it pink?

Well, in thinking about it later, I wondered if it was just a bit forward of me, probably so. But, it was a workout, so shouldn't it count?

1000 yard swim.
Well, my idea of a nutrition challenge would NOT be a diet plan. Something along the lines of what we're doing now. Plan your meals ahead of time and report on how well you stick to it. for instance, already I'm slightly off what I had planned today because even though I had my plan written down, the physical part wasn't quite ready so I had to improvise and that's what normally kills me. Just an idea since this T'weeker challenge is encouraging me to keep moving.

Should we ask Ron to create a new catagory for us on the training logs?

Gary...sex under "swimming"? I don't need to hear more, it would be waaay TMI...or maybe shere you log it depends on what position you are in? LOL

Karl, what type of bottle did you get? I got a new one too, can't remember the name of it but instead of a cap it has this funky yellow mesh that you stuff in the top. The point is to keep your fluid from splashing out but still be able to fill it w/out removing anything. I was very apprehensive, my hubby picked it up for me and I was close to returning it but decided to try it out. It's pretty cool, I wasn't too sure about the yellow mesh but it's actually pretty neat. I was able to fill my aerobottle out of a squirt type bottle without getting off of my bike (I had to slow way down though).

I really don't want to do a nutrtion forum, that would require me to face the reality of how much I'm eating these days

Okay, until we get an actual "Love Making" catagory in the training logs, we'll have to improvise. I just reviewed all the catagories under Aerobics and found two that would suit the cause, Wrestling and Rodeo, although wrestling is probably the most appropriate with respect to form, but Rodeo sounds better (giddie up, li'l doggie). Do we need a poll?

However, in order to enter "getting busy" as an aerobic activity, I believe there should be some qualifiers:

1. Another human must be involved (solo workouts should be catagorized under "biceps")
2. You must be doing most of the work (no credit for just lying there).
3. It must include at least 15 minutes of prolonged, elevated heart rate.

Oh, and as a word of caution, telling your partner that this is part of your training regimen gets you no-where.

I'm off to pink a 10k today. Ya'll be good.

Ok, that's not fair for those of us celibate people! Does thinking about it qualify?
