I'm so angry with the number on the scale (I guess really should be angry at myself) that I can't even bring myself to post right now. Especially frustrating since I really feel like i have been very good about exercise and food, so I'm not sure what to do. I am going to the gym this afternoon and will weigh myself there just to make sure my scale isn't broken (wishful thinking).

Otherwise I really don't know what to do.

I am already doing cardio 5 x /week, strength training twice a week (still so sore can barely move from Monday) and have cut out all sweets and fried foods. Maybe I should see a nutritionist, I dunno.

Starting weight 2-7: 168

Weight on 2-21: 164.2

Weight on 2-28: 167.4

Loss gain since last week: 3.2 lbs, OUCH!! That hurts,

Well at least I am still slightly below my starting weight! I think it is mainly water weight, but then again I did some super strenuous carbo loading last week. My activity has been good, but eating...not so great. There is NO way I am ever going to be able to cut out sweets entirely, but I am working on moderating.

Fone - Hang in there, looks like many of us are struggling. Don't deprive yourself! Sometimes our bodies hang on to weight at all cost!

Fone - maybe the problem is that you've cut out the good stuff.  You certainly seem to be working hard enough.  Perhaps portion control could be considered?  My unofficial motto for this thread is "don't fear the yo-yo".  We all have good and bad days/weeks, but we've also all dropped over time.   I know how you feel, though, whenever I creep back up toward 200 by Friday, I wonder what happened.

Keep on keepin' on.

Hey all I can never remember my weight the previous week, I just know its going down or is the same. Today I'm at 200lbs.

This is awsome for me. I have always wanted to break 200, and now it seems possible. I cant believe that I only have 15lbs. or so to go from 270ish. Almost kinda mad at myslef for witing so long to do this.

Well Good luck everybody.

My weight has been all over the place this week, going as high as it's been in weeks, and as low as it's been in years.  Today, I am at 165.2, or .2 over where I started this second phase.  <sigh>

Workouts have been consistent, and I've been pretty good about watching what I eat, but I've been really tired the last few days.  I feel like I'm catching my wife's cold, and my energy is way down.  With the latest round of snow--which is getting worse than they predicted--it might be a good day to curl up by the fire and take a little nap.

Ok, thanks for all the support everyone. Post-workout I can log in at a respectable 149.

Nothing to brag about, but at least I will post the number.

Good points made. I am gonna start thinking harder about portion control. Its just hard with all the workouts I feel like I need to eat more, but maybe that is a mistake.

I have been totally out of commission. I got my wisdom teeth out last friday. I ended up in the ER from a reaction to the Percocet. After throwing up all day they gave me three drugs to take to help. I swear I am not a slacker! I have been drugged up on 800MG Motrin, Phenergan, and 500MG Vicodin to dull the pain. So with that wonderful cocktail, ( no idea how many cals?) I have been heavily sedated and have not made it to the gym. Luckily I have not been eating much and am still at a lovely 165.00 lb.

It really makes you realize how good we have it when we are healthy. Keep up the good work everyone!

Next week will be better I promise..

Wow, that's hardcore, pulling your teeth out so you can make the scale show a smaller number.   I thought it was bad enough to just take off all my clothes.

Seriously, I hope you're feeling better.  Ease back into things; those drugs can cause unexpected weaknesses.

I feel that we all need to consider having a WEIGHT ZONE: I fluctuate between 159.? and 162.0 throughout the week. It seems I always weigh in the middle of that...sigh. Give yourselves a ZONE to slide around in and then lower the whole zone when consistently staying in the lower part. I am starting to view weight just like other parts of training: Somedays hard, some moderate, some light. Keeps me from beating myself up and eating a gallon of Ice Cream.

Hope this helps a little. Everyone is doing great.

Howdy, y'all.

I weighed in today because I have been out of town for a funeral. Same as last week (243.5), which is no surprise considering I haven't been able to train for close to a week.

Sorry I'm late!!  I'm still at 152 but I saw 151 on the scale a few days ago and now that I'm back in the swing of my training, I'm very optimistic.

It seems like we've all lost the "easy weight" and now we're struggling with those pounds that are hanging on like mad.  Keep it up!!

Help!!! I'm standing at the kitchen 'puter and slamming a jar of peanut butter while browsing BT.  Banana's long gone, but there's still a spoon.  No wonder I'm back near 200 by Fridays.

STEP AWAY FROM THE PEANUT BUTTER!

The computer, too, for that matter.

Go take care of Jill, and then get some sleep.  You'll feel better in the morning.
