Yeah, I agree with RW.

I am fiscally pretty conservative but socially very liberal. My views do not fit neatly into the old left/right paradigm.

Note: Being fiscally conservative does not mean I buy into the Economic policies of an administration that has labeled itself as "Conservative".

Yep. Me as well. Too bad the Republican co-opted religion as part of their platform.

I am a line-item libertarian actually. Pick and choose what I like.

Opus - 2007-05-17 12:14 PM I put 2, because I read The Socialist Worker years ago and thought it was bullshit. I thought that if I had to believe their crap to be considered a socialist, then I am clearly not one. Also, I think unions can go too far, government should think more carefully about taxation and not everybody needs a government department to help them through whatever problems they may be having. OTOH, I believe the entitlement of the corporation over individuals is the single worst thing that society could allow. I think we as humans waste our resources and often use rationalizations to justify it. I think we, as a society, have forgotten that society is made up of people, so we love things more than we love ourselves and each other.

ME TOO! exactly.

Here is a VERY short quiz about where you stand politically:

http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz.html

It is from Neal Boortz's website. He is a Libertarian. I read his stuff often.

http://boortz.com/nuze/index.html

i took a look at that quiz. not exactly the most unbiased wording. and given that its creation was intended to explain the libertarian ideology, the wording of the questions and the resulting placement of people into categories isn't necessarily the most valid---most likely, it overestimates the number of people placed into the libertarian category. this quiz is a survey methodologist's nightmare and a push-poller's dream.

(neal boortz said two days after the va.tech massacre, "How the hell do 25 students allow themselves to be lined up against the wall in a classroom and picked off one by one?" classy guy)
