Heading into summer thank goodness

Nah – I was a kid in Hyson Green. It was an interesting Educational experience. After the lessons I learned there I spend many a year not having any trouble at a new school in the country where they had never had the minor little issues that I dealt with – such as the primary school riots, daily visits from the police, etc. Use your imagination – you’re still WAY short. Interesting area. My parents owned a restaurant there – used to get a lot of “characters”. I learned way more from the customers than I ever did at school! I even had the areas biggest pimp teach me chess. Nice bloke – at least to me!!! Glad I left there though. Glad I could. The future for those that stayed was grim at best.

I went to a football match there a few years ago with another guy who came from Nottingham. We drove up there and I took him to see my old stomping ground. He got to the area, locked the doors and sped out of there as fast as he could. He hadn’t realized how bad it was up there!!

So anyway – no I don’t know of any clubs.

Yes it is not the nicest of areas. But hey they are everywhere.
