sorry 'bout the first post (mouse slipped and off it went)

Any how I am alway interested in what eople are listening to.
I find I have to tailor my cds to my workout as I tend to pace off of them.

Pearl Jam
Dave Matthews
Red Hot Chili Peppers
James Brown
Chemical Brothers
Judge Jules
New Order
Outkast
David Bowie
Oakenfold
R.E.M
Johnny Cash
And so many more make the playlist frequently ( I make a cd a week)

What's your playlist?

If I am outside, I am listening to nature, or traffic, depending on where I am. Inside I watch TV, just to keep my mind off the fact that I am not outside.
In my personal life Classical Music always gets me going.

Judge Jules and Pete Tong- haven’t heard those names in a while – used to listen when I was in the UK – don’t seem to have much time now.

Normal play list varied
The Damned
The Clash
Madness
Nirvana
Pearl Jam
White Stripes
Johnny cash
REM
Queen

I tend to like singles rather than groups – must get some together and I’ll burn a few cd’s and post the list to you lot to mock me

I listen to a large mix, but one thing I enjoy is I went to the VH1 web site and got there top 100 80's hits and there one hit wonders. I listen to them on some of my workouts.

Were you able to download the 80's hits?
One album that I have been stuck on while running (which is my weakest area) is KMFDM's NIHIL. The songs really keep me going. I love old industrial music!
I also like most 80's new wave and punk, such as the damned, the clash, and the jazz butcher consipiracy.
Although I've listed these almost any music will get me going.

I downloaded the 80's hits before the crackdown. I don't download them anymore. I would be happy to share what I have though.

Where there hits in the 80's?

I've been listening to Art Garfunkel, even though he's on a downer right now.

Oh Yeah! I do listen to Blues Clues, Bob the Builder, and Barney on the way to the race with my three year old! Barney really gets me fired up, but Blues Clues is better for post race.

Well Michael I must agree there is something ironic when parents Tri with young kids. We Tri to get in good shape for ourselves, so that we can live better lives with our kids, but even our "me" time gets influenced by our kids. My 4 and 1 year old allow me to watch prime time tv because that is the only sanctuary I can get for training this time of year. When I do listen to music I love Pat Benitar's Best Shots Cd.

Metal
-----------------
Megadeath (I may be the only person that likes them more than Metallica)
Pantera (Old Pantera)
Sepultura
And th greatest band ever ... Suicidal Tendencies

Rap
---------------
Tupac and Fitty (50 Cent)
Beastie Boys ... yeah I'm still holdin' on to 7th grade
Bone Crusher ... Never Fear, great song
Tried gettin' into Nas ... but I just ain't feelin' it yo. I ain't down, y'know wanksta? F to the rizzo.

Techno
----------------
Paul Okenfeld and a bunch of other crap that I can't name

Casual
----------------
Red Hot Chili Peppers

Goofy Stuff
-----------------
Dick Dale ... I like that beach sounding guitar.

In Class
------------------
Johnny Cash all week ... the kids love Ring of Fire, Big Bad John, and Boy Named Sue

More Times than Not
----------------------------
The Wiggles ... I know every word .. and every dance. I challenge anyone to a "Wiggle Off".

What's worse about kids music is after you've been driving for 20 minutes and you realise you're listening to the Wiggles ... and YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE IN THE CAR.

Misc
---------------------
I love Soundgarden and RATM ... but for some reason I don't like Audioslave (Singer -- Cornell -- from SG, and the band from RATM). Go figure

I have to say, before I give my list, that some of these posts were a scream!! Blues Clues as post race...priceless. Also, I had to go onto Amazon and do some research - not heard of some of the bands...some good techno out there that I hadn't heard of until I read some of the lists. Ok, I am old, so keep that in mind...
Smashing Pumpkins
Filter
Matrix Soundtrack
Chemical Brothers
Telepopmusik
Gary Glitter (the "hockey" song - Rock and Roll)
The Crystal Method
Lit
Live
Moby
Black Flag
Sister Machine Gun
Renegade Soundwave
Lucious Jackson
Lo Fidelity All Stars
Veruca Salt
Radiohead
Daft Punk
I kind of like a random mix to keep me moving. My sister, the CD junkie, keeps me in music!
