I assume you're doing all the good stuff like hydrating properly, replacing electrolytes, etc. Sounds like the worst is over--if it is, eeeeease back into training ... if it feels good, continue; if not, don't. In any case I'd do slower/shorter sessions until you're at least 90% back. This may not happen in a week. If you are good at holding yourself back, you could look at the tri as a training session. Take it easy, really enjoy the race and participants and spectators, stretch. The best case scenario is you might feel great and be able to kick in. But I wouldn't go in expecting to "race." |
