And the winner is....FirstNet911.  He went with 2nd trip....and he was right.

I was on my return route this morning after stopping for a refill.  Couldn't get the right foot to clip in while leaving the parking lot I was in.  Stopped to check it out.  Right foot was obviously unclipped, yet my body leaned to the left.  I could hear my brain screaming "Unclip! Unclip! yet the left foot did nothing.  Down I went.  Minor abrasions and a skipped chain were the end results.

When do I get my membership card?

Check with stupidnickname. I think she will ship it in the next USPS 15th class mail. Pony Express I think.

Congrats on joining the club.

This club sounds like some kind of pyramid scheme!

I have been to three club 'meetings.' The last was the most damaging, both to the knees which are still scarred and most certainly to the ego. And since hubby saw the whole thing, it scared him out of ever trying clipless on his bike. Frown

My third ride, right after getting clipped by a car. I got up, looked over my bike, got on to ride, my chain jammed in the FD & I fell over before I could unclip. That was my 3rd crash of the day, a PR.

This club is more of multilevel marketing... those who know the horizonal market it to the vertical... so far so good sales are up this month.

I rejoined the club today, 50 yards off the Moo course. Thank goodness no one saw it.

It seems like having clipless pedals are also dangerous to my partner's health and balance.  We've been out two times since I got my clipless pedals (she has cages).  She fell both times and I have not fallen.  This last time was a particularly bloody fall.
