Um, what do you want to know?

It's a 13.1 mile race that is not a distance to be taken lightly by mere mortals as opposed to ultra-marathoning gods/goddesses.

Chances are, you will be using your left foot more than your right, but that's why shoes are designed the way they are.

Well, my initial reaction is that it's a bad idea.  You're risking injury.

Now, in my personal opinion, you need to go buy a metronome, a pair of Newtons, and start doing intervals every other day.  You don't really need a long run, either, they only teach you to run slow.

A half marathon is just about half the distance of a full marathon.

I fundamentally disagree with this statement.

Just because you're a doctor, do you really think you are qualified to answer #3? The obvious answer for all of them is beer - to solution to, and cause of, all of life's problems.

Now that the initial half marathon question has been answered, it does bring up another question:   _____________________________________________

I'm sorry, but experientially, a half-marathon is nowhere near half the distance of a marathon. Actually, I lie. I like the second halves much better. But I am sick. I also got lost on a half-marathon where I wound up nearly covering a full-marathon distance. And I still wasn't DFL

Well, say the half-mary's part of an actual full-mary ... sometimes you run parts of all three.
