Extreme Veteran 536 Wauwatosa, WI | Subject: RE: Donkey based IM MOO thread We wouldn't miss it for the world!! It's gonna be an EEEAAAAAWWWWSSSSOOMMMEE day, with donkeys all over Mad-town. I had never even THOUGHT of doing a triathlon (much less IM) until I volunteered there. The rush of excitement and emotion is unbelievable (and we are going there just to cheer and catch donkeys (or should I say - CONGRATULATE THEM!!! - they are donkeys and won't need to be caught - they'll just stroll in lookin' for a carrot.... and I'm figuring Pseudoyams may try to do the whole course again, just to see if he can do it. |

Master 2099 Madison, WI | Subject: RE: Donkey based IM MOO thread We get a parking pass? For where? Most likely I won't need mine, because I have a pass for parking on campus already, and it's very near where I'm volunteering. Although reality is unless the weather is awful, I'm just going to bike. Soooooo, if and when I ever get one (I've gotten NOTHING from my aid station captain yet), she can have mine. |

Master 1553 Elm Grove | Subject: RE: Donkey based IM MOO thread I haven't heard from my aid station captain yet, but like Deanna, I plan on parking at a friends place and then biking in. Is there a place for Volunteers to lock up their rides? |

Master 2099 Madison, WI | Subject: RE: Donkey based IM MOO thread Madison is an extremely bike friendly town. There are bike racks all over the place. That being said, I would NOT bring your good bike and expect it to be safe. I have a crap-o-la commuter bike that I use when I want to lock my bike somewhere. There are some permanent bike racks at the base of Monona Terrace, and there are some on each corner of the capitol square. You're also allowed to lock to any parking meter or sign, but not to trees. I don't recall any extra racks being brought in for Ironman last year. |

I volunteered in the med tent last year and did not hear anything until 2 days before the race when they sent an email saying there was a meeting in madison that night. The email included general directions, some med specific stuff and a pdf file parking pass that you print out.Hope this helps |

Master 1553 Elm Grove | Subject: RE: Donkey based IM MOO thread Can you still volunteer if you don't make the meeting. I am going to be out of town the 2 days before so anything leading up to it I can't make, but I still want to help the day of. |

COURT JESTER 12230 ROCKFORD, IL | Subject: RE: Donkey based IM MOO thread Jockstrapping plans changed from driving up Sunday to staying in the Madison area Saturday night, since I’ll be driving back from Minneapolis on Saturday. This is a fairly short notice question but does ANYONE have floor space they can spare for a fellow BT’er to crash on Saturday night? Will be rolling into the Madison area around 6:30p or so. I will even help with splitting the cost of the room for a night. Please PM or email, [email protected] Thank you. Ty........a donkey wannabe. P.S. I may live in Rockford yet I’m a displaced Cheesehead. Edited by tupuppy 2007-09-04 9:19 AM |

Donky wannabe because I didn’t know what I had to become a member of this FraternSoro-ity. Now that I know, I DECLARE….EEEEEEEEEHHAAAAAAAAAA, I’ll drink the Zima w/ Jolly rancher later (maybe in Madison Saturday night), and I surrender to being a jacka$$ (Donkey).
Now, any help in floor space to crash on Saturday night in the Madison area?

Said I didn't want any presents, just to go watch IMOO. Edited by tupuppy 2007-09-04 12:42 PM |
