What is the longest triathlon you've done

Try googling "Deca Ironman." That's right, 24-mile swim, 1120-mile bike, 262-mile run (non-stop)!

I've been a part of BT since '04 and remember back to IM's in '05 and there would be 1, 2 or 3 BTers doing them and it was like Welshy said wow why would they want to do that...that is huge....the concept was alien to me. All the sudden both BT has grown and also the depth of triathletes we have many beginners but also folks that have been doing tris for a long time.

I find it amazing to watch the growth of some folks from just starting out, to going longer, faster and just becoming amazing people and triathletes.

My longest is a HIM. I'll be doing an IM next year .

HIM is the longest to date, and someday I'll do an iron distance race.

That first Sprint will always be the one I'm proudest of though. 

Wanna bet?  Like Marma said, that first one is a special one. 

Just done sprints the last 3 years, but am doing HIM next year for sure.

We have an international distance here that is a 1000 meter swim, 20 something mile bike and a 10K run, so it is just short of an Oly.

I think International just needs to be in a certain distance range, like a sprint.

I remember when there wasn't an Ironman section on BT... and nobody went to COJ

I'm not sure - I once thought I was doing an olympic and on race day found that the race was classified as an international distance - the only difference was the swim. When I asked, I was told that international was similar to an olympic but slightly shorter in one or more areas.... Could be completely wrong. In the mean time, and for our purposes only, we'll deem an international to be anything between a sprint and olympic, only closer to an olympic. Sort of.
