Subject: Dream Job?
Since the two responses to my other post about "what's your least favorite part of your job" are "show up", I thought I'd poll to see what job you would RATHER have, than the one you have right now? Assuming no limitations, ie. necessary certification, degrees, financial issues, life logistics, etc.

I would open and run a dance studio.

Or just get paid to work out for a living - doing all sorts of crap, inside and outside: not just tri-related, but yoga, hiking, kayaking, etc. That would be cool

Freelance writer.

As long as I was set for life, moneywise. Because I did it for awhile and the moo-lah was too sporadic. Make thousands one month then nothing for two.

I guess I already have it.

Work for myself crafting photographs for a living.

The only employed position I'm interested in is as a Vatican photographer.  Highly improbable, but not impossible to get that.

Advance Scout, Centerfold Department, Playboy magazine.

The CEO of the magazine, Hef's daughter, was here in the office a few weeks ago. She didn't bring `The Girls Next Door' sadly. Or any free samples.

She's single, right?  You're set for life!

TV Critic or Movie Critic or Food Critic.

I would love to write some reviews of tv shows or movies. How about going out to dinner to restaurants, ordering and trying everything, and then writing a quick recap of what's good and what's not.

I already do one, which is photograph (although I'm more in the "art" side of that than the "photojournalism" part...but they overlap)

I'm in uni to be a museum curator/administrator/person. Wouldn't mind being a conservator or an art educator/community liaison.

But I'd also like to be a professor/lecturer. I love academia.

Own my own theatre.  But in reality I had a job I really liked...I use to move computers from one desk to another in a big company... I really enjoyed that job.

That also made me think - I'd be a choreographer. Awesome job.

It's my dream job too...I'm just lucky enough to have already gotten it. Being a professor rocks.

Homesteading/small farm. I want to produce or hunt all my own food, sell a little produce or cheese (if stupid laws will let me) at the farmer's market or CSA style. Maybe some independent contracting work in the winter...

We're working on making it happen.
