Run
Comments: Didn't finish as strong as I would have liked. That second time up the slope got me. Still I finished with a time I am OK with. What would you do differently?: Run more Hills to get stronger and push myself a little harder. Post race
Warm down: Walked around a little and waited for Pam (wife) to finish. Returned to normal quickly. Event comments: This is definately a family event not a time event. Prizes are awarded to the first 50 people in each of three groups; Men 39 and under, Women 39 and under and the over 40 group. I wasn't one of the first 50 men under 39. I didn't recieve a time card or anything to document my race. It was just over. No noticeable refreshments after the run and had to walk to the water table in the second loop of the race to get water. I guess I expected more in post race from an event that has been going on 25 years! I would probably do it again but would know to pack a small cooler with Gatorade and snack or two. On another note, Pam was #37 through the chute and received a nice plaque. We both got the coveted GLOW-IN-THE-DARK long-sleeved t-shirt. Last updated: 2004-10-30 12:00 AM
