Today: 151.4

Down: .2

Not bad considering I haven't done anything in weeks.  Now with a cold just breathing is a priority.

OK, I think we need some motivation going on here...too many folks in the dumps! How about a mini-motivation challenge...

Here's mine (although I'm not in the dumps, I just want my reward)...

If I go biking outside 2x this week (before Sunday), I will go get a trashy fiction book from the library to read in my spare time.

sheepishly...I used to love to read, but I've been soooo busy....so this is truly a reward for me

What's your mini-get-it-in-gear-goal for the next couple days? What will you do nice for yourself if you get-it-in-gear? (NO FRENCHFRY REWARDS!)

Wow.

If I get at least some color on my calendar EVERY day this week (doesn't matter what or how long) I will buy some flowers or candles or something for my kitchen table.

Can't use the trashy novel thing - did that last week.

139 for me today, i think last week was 140.

Going to see a sports nutritionist later today, hopfully he'll have some words of wisdom as to how I can lower the number on the scale!  I know the body composition numbers have come down, but I'll still obsessed about the scale numbers.

152.8 for me today. Last week I was too embarassed to even post. I have really been having a hard time with the weight loss. On top of everything I am Jewish and observe Passover, and it has really put a wrench into my eating habits. On a positive I have tried to jump start my metabolism by holding 3 pound weights and doing arm exercises in intervals when I walk hills on the treadmill.

Happy Passover!  I'm Jewish too, here in the Bay Area there is a shortage of matzo.....you can't find a box of it anywhere!

i have got a riding buddy now. a long time friend of mine( yes sailing i have friends) is wanting to drop some pounds. he is diabetic and has some serious sleep apneia doc tells him if he were to lose a min of 30 to 40 lbs it would probably all go away. the only problem i see is my screwed up work schedule and the amount of hours he puts in a day. gonna be really tricky getting rides in together.

this week 140

Yeah!  Quite surprised, haven't been paying too close to what I've been eating, although I've been really busy, so haven't been eating many big meals, just lots of small meals.

Hoping for 139 this month, but we leave for Florida tomorrow night (taking the University's steel band and racing a tri Sunday) so I imagine my eating post race won't be that great!

Looks like everyone is doing great.

I will be back one way or another...I HATE COLDS!!!!

I will have a mini-goal of 8 miles ran by Monday.  My reward will be that I did it.  I would say get a book, but I read 80-100 a year already so it wouldn't be much of a reward.

Did everyone notice that Comet has a friend?  WOWSA!!

Enders,  I swear you are wasting away to nothing.  Eat something girl.

I love garage sales for books and my customers give me books.  My family finds it hard to understand that I may be reading 3-4 books at a time plus whatever magazine I might be reading.  I prefer certain authors. but I will read most anything (not romance).  Just read Bram Stokers "Dracula", cant believe I never read that....awesome!!

Comet,  Glad Craigslist came in handy for something.  Did you find a friend in the man seeking man section?  I crack me up.

Well this morning

190.8

Last: ???

I was even as high as 191.8 over the past two days. I don't know maybe I'm just taking a break from the past 9 months of hell I was putting myself through.

As to the rewards, I just started reading a good book, just because. It's called "13 moons" from the author that wrote "Cold Mountain". It sounds a lot like Mark Twain's stuff though. All in all I've had it for about 3 days and already half way through it. I usually read before bed to tire my eyes, but this one's pretty good so I end up reading till things get blurry.

I used to read a book a day through college & law school...and even before then...I always won the summer reading contests in my small town where I grew up. But since having kids and a job that sucks out my energy (oh, and this fantastic but time-consuming hobby of triathlon), I'll have to say my reading has gone to the dogs (but not the comet dog).

I could totally have 3-4 books going at one time, but I don't like magazines (unless I'm waiting for some doctor or something) - too short.
