Interesting Experiment - Right Hand v Left Hand

I'm a lefty and can do all those things righty except write.  I actually switch hands while brushing my teeth or shaving depending on what side I'm doing.  Using a mouse with either hand is easy for me because I work in IT.  I'm at so many other people's desk during the day I don't even need to think about it.

 I find that most left handed people are pretty adept at doing things with their right hand.  I think it's because so many things are right handed you have to use your right hand for them.

weird, I do the same thing.  Not sure why or even when it started but aside from using chopsticks, I always use my left hand when eating

I'm left-handed.  I switch off on brushing teeth & shaving, apply shave cream with my right hand.  Usually eat with my left hand, and probably couldn't write halfway legibly with my right hand to save my life.  I mouse with my right hand, but touchpad with my left.

I also golf right-handed, except for putting lefty.

Oh, and when swimming I usually breathe to the right.  I can breathe bilaterally, but find I don't get enough air.

Hopefully in that order...

Brushing your teeth every other day with your non dominant had is supposed to help prevent some types of brain degenerative diseases apparently.

I'm right handed and I was a left side breather until I forced myself to learn bilateral breathing.  I can't write or brush my teeth with my left hand.   But utensils........when I am cutting meat, I keep my fork in my right hand and use my left hand to cut.  I've been told that's weird.

Begs the question: in which order do you prefer?

Being an extreme rightie I actually had to check - nope, even picking my nose is more comfortable with my right hand. Scratching with my left I can manage just fine.

I can, however, pull a Leonardo daVinci: since I was a kid I've had no trouble writing backwards and in mirror images. I can write just as fast either way, but my penmanship is actually better when written in mirror image.

I'm going to try it, just for fun, for a week.  I'm good on my breathing, but I'm still going to do this just for kicks.  The pouring thing cracks me up.  And dexter, thanks for the visual.

 So this post marks the kick off of my left handed week.  Unclipping the opposite side on the bike and putting that foot down is going to be a fun one.  How many times will I bite it?  Here's to a week full of amusing myself!

I'm as bad as him (being a dominate righty) but I don't occupy myself with those activities.

What activity do you do with your left hand? 

I am very right handed / right footed - as is my wife.

But I have a left handed, but right footed younger son with a right handed, but left footed older brother.

Left  side: write, eat , most things

Right side : kick footeball , play basketball , use a mouse

Think the left/right thing is genetic , my brother is also left handed and my mother started out writting with her left hand but in school kids werent allowed to write with there left hand so they used to tie her left hand behind her back till she got used to wiritng her right hand ( Crazy !), so now she writes with her right hand and does everthing else with her left hand

Forget the opposite hand!  From the amount of Internet porn I've watched, I can use a Mouse with my foot!
