Whew, that was fun. Tough but fun. Finished in 6:54 something. About an hour slower than I planned but the run and swim were pretty brutal. Working on my RR right now.

Good job, Mike!  I will go check Marc's blog to see if he's posting yet.  That is heartbreaking to have a crash caused by a dog.  Did anyone find the dog??

It's my understanding that police and bystanders did find the dog and gave it a safe place to stay and watch the remainder of the race.

I hope you're alright man! I heard a lot of people wishing you well at the transition area (even Dave the announcer guy were chatting and he and I sent you good vibes).

Didn't see his crash but I did see the aftermath of one of the female pros crash. She was on the side getting ready to get in the ambulance. I heard afterwards that there were some issues with traffic and cars being allowed through at the wrong times.

Hey guys I am really pretty darn good all things considered. My Garmin 405 had the speed at 60mph when I hit the dog. It was 15.66 miles from my spot in transition. I've ridden that course lots and can take that area fast. It saves peddling up the hills that follow. I didn't feel out of control. I have lots of road rash and my body hurts but I am okay. Thank you for the prayers. The people in this sport are incredible. Racer #519 thank you for your gracious concern.
